We wanted to check out a restaurant called Muscle Grill, advertising that they have health foods. It is located inside a huge gym. I was surprised at the size of their parking lot, pretty filled up too.

I ordered whole wheat pasta with turkey meat sauce, and it was pretty good. That about describes it - pretty good. Shelley (wife) ordered some sort of chicken thing that wasn't as good. Her comment was that it sure tasted like health food. Not going back, and I've had better health food.

Then we strolled into the gym, nobody asked us for an ID card, and I got on a treadmill, figuring I'd check out the place, give myself a tour. Even got Shelley to get on a treadmill. Then I pumped some iron and started talking like Arnold S.

Most gyms are full of muscle heads, but this one is full of old farts like me, people who are there to get physical therapy because their this hurts, their that hurts, and they'd kind of like to keep their body moving rather than sink into an arthritis filled stagnation.

We did laundry. We visited our oldest child, our son, and his wife and two kids. One kid is 7 and loves video games, Mario and that sort of thing. The other is a month or so old, and pays little attention to video games as yet. He's a cute little chub with a pleasant personality, never hear him crying. He just checks you out.

Took my son food shopping. He is planning on moving his family to Florida, and moving his two cats with them. He wanted to buy a carrier bag for each cat at Petco, but I noticed on one of the tags that it mentioned that you won't be able to board a plane with your pet unless you have proof of health from a vet. I was glad I found that out in advance, rather than having his family show up at an airport planning to go somewhere, and being rejected because there's no letter from a vet. I advised my son to speak to the airline and get informed about every single thing he needs, so there will be no surprises.

Did my hobbies, read my book, got some rest, watched some tv, put on headphones and listened to my homemade cd of songs from 1973. Remember ground control to Major Tom by David Bowie? Had a few Elton John songs that year too.

Got an email letter from author Shepherd Hoodwin. He's an interesting guy.

Supper ended out being mushroom pizza.
