  You know you could get a little playmate for this furry friend. It is in his best interest for him to socialize with other dogs.The playmate of course would have to stay with you!

  Awwww, so cute!!  I'd love to play with him, but puppies are a lot of work to raise properly.  I'd rather be the pet grandparent and just spoil them from time to time.

  That is one hell of a cute pup Quiet, I don't know what a nuffy is either? I don't think the kids will do him much damage until he's about six months old. At that time he could still be salvaged, but I bet you are wanting that cute little guy to cuddle with too.......haha

  vacant ~ I was hoping this guy had another brother, but they are all gone already.  :(

  uniquely ~ that is why I want him, he is already picking up some bad habits that they all think is cute.  They won't think so when he grows into himself!  Yes, pups are a lot of work to raise properly.

I probably spelled it wrong..... you know me and spelling!  ha...... like you!  Newfoundland.  I hope you are right that he will be salvagable still at 6 months.  That will be about time enough for them to get real tired of taking him out this winter for walks.

  skald ~ I just now noticed how the camera picked up his fur as grey.  It is actaully tan except for his face.  Maybe he will turn this grey color.  That would be nice too.

  I've heard of Newfoundlands but never saw one. They're beautiful!
  Did I miss his name? My son has a husky named Viking, but he's not real, he's a life-sized plush toy...lol. He can't have a dog in his apartment building so I sent him Viking. He thought I was crazy at first, but he's grown quite attached to him.

  Twyla ~ I love Newfies as they are just big teddy bears.  I have seen a few in person.. they make you wann just hug em.  His name is Cocoa.  I think that Viking was a great idea for your son!  No house breaking and it has to be really cheap to feed the dog!  LOL

      Hello quietone I knew what you meant about the nuffy. My uncle had an newfoundland it was a beautiful dog. Very smart affectionate and protective.This little fella you got there is really a looker. Put a cigarette in his mouth and he'd look like Humphrey Bogart in the African Queen. I'd like to take him home to. I've often thought about getting another dog one day. Maybe I will. Some of those dogs have a black or blue tongue. I know one thing quietone you are quite a photagrapher. I need to buy me an Olympus camera. I'm impressed by the quality of the images you post.   Cman ~ I have heard about the colored tongue.. his is normal color but does have black spots inside his mouth all over.  Yes, I love my camera a lot.  I have a digital SLR I paid big bucks for, but I never use it now after I got this one.  Thanks
   
  hotaka ~ I can tell you he has very sharp puppy teeth right now!  I hope they "nip" that bad habit of his in the bud soon!  I just asked the daughter "so when are you going to bring over my puppy"?  LOL

  hi one, That is a very cute puppy. In the second pic he looks like he's about to spring for something, maybe a rabbit. How old is he now? My dachsund pups are 1 month & 5 days old now.  There's 5 of them and they are running everywhere. It's so exciting watching them run and tumble. I'm spoiling every one of them. Maybe you can find a female for him and have lots of pups. huh?   day
