So i went to see Max on the way home from work last night.i had spoken to my regular vet earlier,and he had said to me that the tests for a deadly in curable virus(Parvo) had come back negative,which was a relief to me.
But he had said that he was still very ill and would need to stay in on a drip for a couple of days.
When i walked in to the kennel area where he is,i saw him sitting there,with his little blue eyes,all gone in.He saw me,and the first thing he did was wag that little tail of his and start to whimper.I walked over to him and started to play with him.
With in minutes,he was flat on his back with his paws in the air and i was rubbing his chest and his stomach - which he always likes.Thats when i knew he was on the mend.
I was weary of him moving around too much though,as he is on a drip and the IV is on his legs with a bandage.
I spoke to the vet this morning,and apparently he isnt as lively today as he was last night.Is he missing me,I wonder? The doc said he should be ok.But I am going back tonight,just to make sure
Will keep you all posted - but i should be able to take him home tomorrow morning
