One of my old arguments, from a long time ago, was that we need to limit compensation at the top. Some people took offense to that, saying it was anti-capitalist, as if capitalism is some kind of religion that says you must never limit anyone's ability to horde every fucking penny ever minted.
I made up an analogy of a kindergarten class where one fucking rich kid possessed 500 toys and all the other kids in the class had to share 1 toy between them.
Now, my argument is one of the hottest in Congress. They are talking about bailouts, and they are insisting that compensation be limited for the fucking CEOs at the top of these failed operations. Thank you. You guys are finally catching up to me on something. Good going. Now do something about it. And do it to the healthy companies too, because a healthy company that is being raped by its greedy CEO is tomorrow's failed company.
These greedy bastards who clawed their way to the top aren't "worth" 150 million, they are just "able to take" 150 million. Fuck em. They are sucking their companies dry and causing layoffs of people who have families and can't afford to be laid off. They are causing misery in these families. I bet they are causing hundreds of suicides. Fuck em. Limit their compensation to something sane.
Capitalism is not a be-all and end-all of human accomplishment. It must be watched, just like anything else. Stop making a religion out of it. Any system at all will suck if it is misused.
