Ever had the feeling, when you were younger, that time dragged on just because there will be an exciting event coming up over the weekend? Maybe the cousins are coming and there will be a party. The wait was excruciating...
Soon enough there isn't enough time to feel like that. The weekends overlap, events merge and all you can hope for is some sort of break. Any sort of break.
The transition of those two feelings would be from age 12 to 40. So I guess the best time of our lives, timewise, would be 23 til 35.
This period I guess would be when time seems just right. The events and memories linger long enough to be savored and future hopefuls mature just right to be enjoyed or cried over fleetingly.
For all you twenty-threes to thirty-fivers......live it!!!

Secretlife- give thanks for the fact that you are healthy and can still enjoy life. Also for the fact that that you live more than one life. I read some of your blogs and I enjoy them too. Relax and try to slow time by savoring each pleasant moment..... I know you had more than a couple of those.

I remember being in second grade, Mrs. Churchman's class, and waiting for what seemed like ETERNITY for 'class favorite voting' and goodie box day. Basically, everyone voted on who had the prettiest hair, who was most athletic, who was the kindest, smartest, funnest, best at dodgeball... and then the goody box was something we'd saved up 'chances' for all year long. You saved them so you could buy something out of the goody box. That day seemed like it would NEVER come!

I pulled a good one yesterday here at home and just thought I'd share for a laugh.

I got home two hours early from working 12 hours shifts for a few days, so I crawled into bed and meditated myself into a deep sleep, planning on just a nap. ...
Cast Iron, butter, some freshly crushed garlic, black pepper, a couple handfuls of mushrooms and, oh DEER !...
Tomorrow, I will be turning 26 years old. I don't want to say 26 flat out, but instead it is 25 plus 1. I thought it would sound catchy. If it doesn't let me know....
Its amazing how fast they learn and grow!...
Well...the last post was just me rambling and lamenting a bit.

Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions. I like the idea of a supportive community.

But I wasn't really clear about what my goal is with submission. W...
