When I was 12, my mother set me down and told me that having sex, making love and fucking were all different. That sex was something two people that like each other ,but doesn't want a relationship do. Making love is something that married folk do. Fucking was something that people who just wanted release did.

As I've grow up I've thought, recently, this categorization thing came into play. I had sex with my best friend. I'm in love with him, but he doesn't love me like that. I'm fine with that, I knew that before I had sex with him. After he left, I sat there just thinking, "What if my mom is completely nuts and its all the same?"

About an hour after he left, I called him and asked him, what would he call we did. He said having sex. I asked him what that meant for him, his reply was " We both had fun, we both got off, we both love each other, and we both wanna do it again."  So, being myself I asked what the difference were to him, he said there wasn't any. That sex was sex no matter what term you called, however to call it fucking is degrading to him, but whatever.

I guess I'm confused is there difference or did my mom make it up.

That's the difference in her mind, dear.  You must decide for yourself what it means to you.

I agree. It's in the "eye of the beholder" so to speak.

For instance, ordinarily, "fucking" would be something I attribute to mindless sex for the sake of it. But then, sometimes, that's exactly what I need and there's no better word to give it than fucking.

Making love... eh. Maybe in the beginning of a relationship. When everyone is feeling all romantic and shit.

Having sex is the married kind or the prostitution-kind.

Fucking is hot sex, married or not, invested or not.

yeah, it depends on the person. to me fucking=sex and vice versa. i don't like the term "making love" it's kinda outdated.

" Making Love " is never outdated.....the only requirement is that you have to be in Love.

i meant to say, the term to me is outdated. and it just seems like when someone says they're "making love", they're having sex because they're in love. i guess i'm
    over thinking it!  :-D
