So i was watching the idiot box last night and i was flicking channels as i normally do,and i found a program that has been causing a bit of a stir down here.
You see,someone has decided to do a musical of High School Musical - yes,I kid you not.First the movie - now the stage production.
So they have been starting a televised competition for the 2 lead roles - yes,I know the TV is that bad in this country.Anyway,they are now down to the final 6,who have to do dance and vocal performances for a panel of judges.
The songs that they sing are covers of some famous well known songs.
Now,I am sorry - but when you do that,the last thing you do is try and sing a 'classic' that meaning a song that is only sung properly by the original artist.Now one of the male finalists decided to do 'Dont wanna miss a thing' by Aerosmith - sorry dude.Your version sucked big time,and you just DO NOT try and sing a song like that.
Then a female finalist came on and 'tried' to do 'My heart will go on' by Celine Dion.Again,major no no.

Mind you,I was a regular viewer of the program Rock Star Supernova - won by Lukas Rossi - (but where are they now.mmmmmmmmmmmm?)
All the entrants in that competition were established singers in their own countries prior to entry - but the version that Storm Large did of Pink Floyd's 'Wish you were here'
well................ that didnt leave too much to the imagination
