Who's reading hellboundmercinary (14):
I know that many people view the bible as conflicting with itself.  There may be a reason for that.  You know how one of the ten commandments said "Thou shalt not kill"?  Well other parts of the bible shows people thinking that they are listening to God when they wage war on pagans and heathens.  When they go out slaughtering them, themselves, what are they doing?  (Gee, could they be killing?????)  Could they actually be listening to the devil as they are led to go against that commandment?  Think about it.  Could part of the bible have been written by those who were misled by Satan?  I know that I do question the accuracy of the bible as a whole.  Also in Revelations where it says that only that minute number of people are going to heaven, isn't that predicting the future?  Isn't that a form of "psychism" which is not supposed to be done?  Isn't it also stated in the bible that no one will know when the end comes?  In knowing that, how would anyone other than the Holy Trinity know who's going to heaven and hell?  I know that the Christian and Hebrew God forgives to an extent.  The bible as it is written in these times is a double edged sword in itself.  The christians who killed others for the sake of their God, slapped their God right in the face actually.  What a dang shame.  I think I am starting to understand what I should and should not trust as far as believing goes.  Maybe we all need to wake up and realize what is going on around us with all of these wars.  It's not God wanting us to wage wars.  Its the Devil.

If it's not the devil that makes us humans behave like morons, we were created defectively in our own minds.  I am generalizing.  Some people are much better off spiritually than others, no matter what belief they carry.

about 7 years ago I was on the internet screaming in large type and bold letters

"THE GOD OF ISRAEL IS LUCIFER"

    then
a few months later an Israeli man came into my life...he was mossad...an oddysey ensued that i should write a novel about

I read a series of books recently that came out of Russia, a huge grassroots movement actually, called "The Ringing Cedars". there are 9 books. I am completely fascinated with their take on Judaism. it felt so very true when i read it. I wish we could discuss it but it would take too long to describe, and i doubt i would be able to adequately.

but thanks for your thoughts hellbound, I agree with your take on the conflicting messages of the bible, which is why i think the three major religions that came out of Abraham are at war with one another....they are all very confused!

A great man once told me sometimes you have to treat religion like a buffet, take what like and leave the rest.  People should follow the basic principles and don't get hung up on perceived contradictions.

I think if everyone read the Bible as a whole they would have a different take.  I personally consider myself an apostate Christian because I reject certain aspects of mainstream Christian teachings, like Hell, the cross, churches, etc.  I also find the Bible the most mysterious and amazing book ever to come about.

There are billions of Christians about, the actions of tiny sections of these billions are not  representative of the group as a whole.

JUST A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY...
Exactly how much "in the image of God" are we? Do we have Godly powers to create matter even without knowing that we are? How do we define "reality" and what does science say about the matter?...
