Kenny Rice introduced GSP as the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Then he added something odd, but I guess I give him credit for it. He told GSP that if he had Spider Silva or B.J. Penn on the panel instead of GSP he would have introduced them that way too. So in other words, he was calling himself a hypocrite just kissing up to his guest. Whatever, Kenny, but I have to hand it to you, I don't remember seeing anyone else call themselves a blatant hypocrite in a while. It was kind of amusing.

Then Kenny asked his panelists who they thought was the best P4P. He got one honest and correct answer, and one absolute bullshit answer. Gina Carano gave him the bullshit. She said it is Randy Couture. That's because she is a friend of Randy's, so from her point of view, why the hell should she tell the truth when instead she can say something nice about a friend. I can see that.

The only person who weighed in correctly on the issue was GSP. You can see that he is an intelligent and honest man. He completely dismissed not only himself from the honor (correctly, since Matt Serra handed his ass to him in their first fight, something that hasn't happened to Somebody Else), but he also completely dismissed B.J. Penn and Spider Silva, both of whom have a number of unanswered and legitimate losses on their records. Spider got his ass handed to him several times in the not too distant past, though his recent victories over Rich Franklin, Dan Henderson, and .... well I guess nobody else, are extremely impressive.

GSP busted out with the simple and unarguable truth, that Fedor Emelianenko is the best pound for pound fighter in the world. Thanks, GSP. It's refreshing when someone sees the truth and says so. GSP won points with me for his answer. He's no bullshitter like Gina Carano, and no semi-dope like Kenny Rice.

First let somebody beat Fedor, then start looking for who might be the best P4P in the world other than him. He's got to age sometime, but he's the Emperor of MMA until he does. Greatness is greatness, period, while it lasts, and it deserves to be recognized.
