I live in South Africa, and up until yesterday, the ruling government was the African National Congress, and the President was Thabo Mbeki - he succeeded Nelson Mandela.
But yesterday - wait for it - he got fired.
By his own party no less.
So what does this mean for us white people living in South Africa ? Who the hell knows? Am I interested in sticking around to find out?
Not really.
It has everything to do with the fact that he fired his deputy, after he was charged with fraud and corruption,2 years ago.Not uncommon in this country for a politician ,from the ruling party, to get charged for that.So the deputy has spent the last 2 years fighting the charges in court, and on Friday the charges were thrown out.
The next day,he lobbied the ruling party to fire the president,as he felt he was victimised. So the party agreed.
The fact the the deputy's financial advisor is in maximum security prison for 15 years for the same case, doesnt speak volumes for the deputy's innocence, now does it?

.........and those, are the Days of Our Lives

    Hi CJ

You just make sure that you are safe and get your little white ass outta there as soon as you smell the teeniest but of shit coming your way!!

Things can happen so darn fast but I know I don't have to tell you that!  Unfortunately with S.A, no matter who is ruling, you appear to be caught between a rock and hard place my friend.

    Take care :-)

Its quite sickening the way politics is being done there CJ ~

Whats frightening its not just the whites that are in trouble the blacks too and its not very pretty all that corruption, the fact also that no outside help can be offered, nay its more like someone needs to go in there and wipe out the whole government and start again.

Just my humble opinion CJ.  If it gets too hot though where will you go?

Well isn't that what sucks about politics ?  There is so much corruption going on everywhere in each country that it's sickening.
When the corruption begets violence then it's time to move.
Stay safe Cupp....  I hope that things don't escalate and get worse.
