Week 1 - I cut out Alcohol
Week 2 - I cut out Soda and all sources of Aspartame
Week 3 - I cut out that which is deep fried
Week 4 - I cut out fast food that was not subway or some equivalent.
Week 5 - I'm counting calories and carbs.
Week 6 - I start biking around for added exercise.
I'm in week 5 and I'm definitely feeling better, having more energy, sleeping better, etc... My neighbor commented that I appear to be losing weight now too. Visibly so!!! WOOT!!! I say! WOOT!!!
According to the online calculators daily life consumes about 2800 calories. Maybe a little less because I'm diabetic and my biology is fucked like that. My job keeps me sitting in a chair for 8 hours a day but I walk about 1.5 miles each way from the train station. Right now I'm aiming at 2000 calories give or take a couple hundred and at least 130g of carbs a day but not more than 210g of carbs in a day. The exercise regimine is to start with biking and other things that don't hurt my ankles. Then once I'm down to the initial target of #250 the real work begins on my final goal of either #200 or 5% body fat. (Whichever comes first.)
General studliness here I come!
