Who's reading cornflakegirl (33):
i've been giving it quite a bit of thought lately and decided today that i'm content with the job offer i received at the reference book company in midtown manhattan and i really want to focus all my energy on that. the most appealing thing about the company is that it seems really stable, and that matters the most to me coming from a layoff. i'm just not sure the other job can offer me what i need, and they weren't able to answer many of the questions i had when i went in for the interview in the first place. i'm at a different point in my life now, and i can't take on the jobs i went for right after college. it's the first time in my life that i'm actually looking out for my own best interest.

so now i enjoy a week off until i start working and i think i'm going to have a final hoorah with my boyfriend. we looked through some travel guides earlier and decided to take a roadtrip to montreal and quebec city. simply because :) who knows when i'll be able to take a vacation again, and it's not like i was in vacation mode in the months that i was searching for employment. it's been some time since i was in montreal (and neither of us has ever been to quebec city). can anyone recommend places to go/things to see/restaurants, etc?

Congrats on your new job!! It was good that you had choices for work. Stable company is very important at our age, since we still need to build a career, and too much job changes will not look good in our CV :D. Sorry, can't help with the recommendation...but bon vacance, alors...:>
