going to the bronx zoo on a wednesday afternoon in the summer... i went yesterday with my friend and her 14-month old daughter, and even though we had a great time, it was nearly impossible to see anything. there were soooo many people everywhere we turned, and the zoo doesn't allow strollers in many of the areas (which i agree with because it would have been a really tight squeeze otherwise). i have a newfound respect for mommies. i just never realize how much goes into parenting until i hang out with her for the day and experience it firsthand.
the zoo was awesome though. i've been before, but the last time i went was for valentine's day and it was simply too cold to see many of the animals. they actually have a new african wild dogs exhibit, and they are soooo cute!!! awww... and i think i could stare at gorillas and monkeys for hours, they are so entertaining :)

yes, that's exactly why we chose to go on wednesday :) even though i still have to donate b/c i think their animal welfare programs are incredible. (and it's cool you can choose where to send your money for the congo exhibit).
yea, they are. her sweet baby danielle makes parenting look easy though, she's a lucky mommy! but i dunno how people do it, i guess one day i'll figure it out myself :)
