So, I continue my walk from yesterday. Last night we had much rain and a storm. The autumn is here for sure.

A door with a picture of a typical old Icelandic farm and horses. And see the very old lamp. I am sure it is since world war 2.

one of the things i noticed from your pictures of this walk is how clean it is there-
everyone seems to take pride in their homes- and they're just so well-kept!

Secret.  i think that is right but most places where I have been, like Berlin streets and homes are like that. Thanks

Like Secret, I applaud the tidiness of the homes, yards and streets in your pictures Skald.  There seems to be more litter on our streets in Canada although they are not the worst I have seen.  The rose with dew on it is beautiful.

Yes, I can say from being there in person, it is very tidy and clean.  Except for that pile of mud/poo.. what ever it was that day under the street light... remember?  LOL  But, everyone, yes, it is always tidy, clean and quiet.  Not like the US with its dirty littered highways.  :(

I am still amazed at all the building going on around there.  All I remember seeing are those cranes all over building, building!  :)  Maybe they are building me a retirement home!  LOL

pretty flower and berries!  I'm always so impressed with how clean everything looks in Iceland

I like that building in pic #4!  I love the stair-step effect and the castle top! My kind of dream house!

Botoni.  The rose had rain drops. It rained now and then, Last night we had rain and a storm. The autumn has begone.
Quiet. Somehow I don't remember the mud poo but I am sure it was there. lol
Uniquely.   Yes and the berries show us that we have autumn. I guess I will have to accept it after a good summer.
Wombie.  It's a lovely house and it is in the center. I am looking at it from the rear side. Now, don't get any ridiculous ideas. lol . I sound awkward.

You don't sound awkward--I know what you mean.  I have always said if I had the money I would buy some land and build a smallish castle-like house with turrets and such.  This is why I like the building.  I would love to spend hours up there on top looking at the sky.

Wombat.  I think you could go into that house. It is not a residential house. There are some kind of offices there now. It has a  name and the name is Gimli in Canada there is a town named Gimli and it was founded by Icelanders.

I remember two or three houses here with this kind of castle like roof. I always liked them too. Big smile on my face.

That's interesting to know.  Do I sound like I have a "Princess" ego?  Ha.....

Wombie.  If you have a Princess ego, I do too. lol

I too noticed the lack of rubbish laying around, its commendable to see I'd like to go there one day.

Skald, I will never grow tired of your photos. Even when the weather is icky, Iceland seems like such a peaceful, beautiful place.
