1. Going Hindu. While Indonesia is a Muslim country, the majority of Bali’s population is Hindu. The Balinese are devout Hindus, and this is reflected in their arts, fashion, culture and basic day-to-day routine.

It is a fascinating image to see a Balinese on the street kneeling with a tiny basket of blue flowers in his hand, asking for a blessing from Brahma.

2. Sunsets on a Sea Temple. Just as Catholics have cathedrals, Bali is proud of its magnificent red thatched-roofed temples, often reflected in water or against a cloudy mountain backdrop.

The most famous is the Ulun Danu Bratan temple, which is built on top of a cliff and offers the sight of the vast azul horizon and the ocean. A large banyan tree welcomes you at the entrance.

3. Art Attract. Ubud is a small town in Bali that is flocked by artists, connoisseurs, writers, bohemians and other folk with an itch for creativity and beauty. The place, with its quiet natural scenery and lively artsy vibe, is a source of inspiration and relaxation.
