so i'm excited of course that my giants did well--although granted, it was the rams they clobbered yesterday. eli had himself a good game, and the defense really stepped up. when you have 2 players (fred robbins, justin tuck) both getting a pair of sacks, you know your d is having a good day--and that interception was amazing.

but how about those big wins by buffalo & the pats? and how about SF over seattle (sorry, d6!)--is the rebuilding process finally over in SF, or is seattle just not playing up to snuff?

i was surprised by coach mike shanahan's going for 2 to beat san diego and i'm not sure what i think of that--although it looked like his offense was firing on all cylinders at the time. gutsy call, no doubt.

i'm looking forward to the philly/dallas game tonight: dallas's secondary will show us whether or not philly's really as good as they looked last week, i imagine.

how'd your team do this weekend? or if your a philly/dallas fan, how do you feel about tonight's game?

You may be shocked to learn this...I didn't watch the game!!
    I think we may see a Bledsoe/Brady but Brady/Cassel.
    I'm SO over Tom Brady.
Living in a state that has a crazy sports media, sometimes with more passion than the fans, they tend to make it easier to get sick of a "star" player.  On top of that, Brady in the tabloids is just more than I can handle.  He totally changed the way he dressed and spoke to the local media.  He started speaking to them like they were Paps!  It's been like the J-Lo affect (she changed Ben Affleck and his appearance in a minute)!

    Vented...I feel better!  Thanks :-)

Damn, what a heartbreaker that Eagles/Cowboys game was. I thought we could pull that one off. And what the hell, Jaguars? Off to a terrible start considering they're going up against the Colts next week.

Oh, by the way... Long time no see, old friend. How've you been after all this time? And how's the wife?

daily: gah, the streak is over! jeez...do you think that maybe miami's the team to beat in the AFC east now? i gotta say, i think something happened during that regular season run last year to a lot of the pats. heck, i think that even bruschi's different, i think, and he's always been a down-to-earth kinda guy, you know/

harried: yeah, tough tough loss, that game--and seriously, WTF is going on in JAX?! things are good, thanks, good to see you again, harried! :> how's by you?

Ed:  Yup, it is!  I hate to root against my own team, but I have lost the love.  Even I don't want to see the same "shining" team shine anymore.  I think I'm turning into a Colts fan.  I've always liked them anyway.  I'm not so sure about last year though, as far as the Pat's.  The guys were always pretty good in never saying anything about the next game and prepared for each game like it could be over.  Teddy B wasn't, IMO, all that great.  I cut the guy some slack though, considering he did suffer a stroke and came back to play. Yeah, he was very down to earth.  He pretty much always had been for all the years he's played.  Did I ever tell you about the time I was out in Boston back in my 20's?  There was a gang from the team out at the same place my room-mate and I were out at.  I remember meeting Chris Slade and the guy was HUGE next to me!  Teddy tried to buy me a beer.  I FLIPPED out on him LOL!  HE WAS MARRIED to the same woman he's married to now!  He didn't know I knew my team...afterall, what do chicks know?  LOL!

Don't tell Mr. Daily, but I AM rooting against my own team this year!  EEEEEK!

Ed:  It is our little secret...Mr. Daily is NOT allowed to know about this.  It feels like the baseball side of things for me.  Before the Red Sox won, I kept saying "I'm going to become a Yankee's fan...just to know how it feels to win!" I'm so glad I never went along with it lol!  I really, really do NOT like the Yankee's organization as a whole.  But, who wants to see the same team win all the time?  I mean, even though the Pat's lost the Super Bowl...I really didn't seem to care so much to even watch it.  I was happy for the Giants!  History was made either way the game went.

Yes, Teddy B tried to buy me a beer.  I don't even know if the bar exists anymore that's how long ago it was lol!  It was at a place called "Tia's" a bar that belonged to the Marriott, but it was outdoors on the warf.  Terry Glenn was even there...what a flash-back I'm having now! LOL!  I feel so OLD now!  I knew Teddy was married, half of them are married anyway.  When I gave him the "no thanks" but in the worst of ways all the guys gave him the "WHOOOOOA!  SHOT DOWN!" and it was loud enough to draw attention...as you know, not my style at all [attention].  It is still a good memory at the same time.

Not a lot of guys have bought me drinks, Ed.  Seriously...I wish they did, I'd have more money in my bank account if they did LOL!  Thanks for saying that...made me smile!
