Early on in the primary season, Senator Ted Kennedy anointed Barack Obama as the heir to brother John F. Kennedy's legacy. What a sycophantic dog and pony show that was! Since then the Husseiniacs even on Capitol Hill have been blaspheming about Obama being not just like Kennedy, but the Messiah. How dare they!
Sick. Arrogant. Faithless. Idolatry. Twisted. Desperate.Typical. Liberal.
But Alienated got me thinking: Is Barack even worthy of tying the thong of John F. Kennedy's sandals?
Kennedy unilaterally sent troops into a country that posed no threat to our national security. Kennedy attempted to engineer the assassination of a foreign leader, and then fomented revolution in that country. Kennedy stood up to the Russians diplomatically and militarily when we were on the brink of having nulcear missiles just 90 miles away from us.
Moreover, Kennedy called for a program that evevntually earmarked 5% - five percent - of our nation's gross domestic product to the military-industrial complex (READ: Mercury, Gemini, Apollo). Peaceful purposes? Really? Try demonstrating that we can build and launch some of the most powerful missiles the world has ever seen.
Kennedy cut taxes!
Reagan and the Bushes are heirs to Kennedy's legacy of governance, not Obama! If Obama promised to govern like Kennedy as I listed above, I'd still not vote for him because I know he would be lying! The way Kennedy governed is polar opposite to the way Biden, Pelosi, Reid and Obama would run this country. And they would govern the country in that order, make no mistake. Those long-time DC insiders will render Obama into nothing more than a human pencil. Yes, your changes are very nicely typed, but just read what's on the teleprompter, Barry, OK? That's what you're soooo good at! Leave policy making to the grownups.
Pelosi, Reid, Biden and Obama will govern this country with all the economic malaise and ineptitude of Jimmy Carter, all the courage and fortitude in the face of impending foreign danger as Neville Chamberlain, and all the tact, sensitivity discretion, class and foresight of William BJ Clinton.
I remember John Kennedy, Senator Obama - and take it from me: You're no John Kennedy, and neither are your collaborators.
Don King would have been a better VP choice.
