I went online to see what the usury laws in the USA are with regard to credit cards. Each state defines the legal interest rate for itself. There was a time when the government was interested in capping credit cards and other loans at a reasonable rate of interest to prevent loansharking but those days are over. The best place to get a credit card is Arkansas, the only state that is really taking this seriously and demanding reasonable rates of interest on credit cards. But if you don't live in Arkansas you probably can't benefit from it. The Supreme Court betrayed us all by taking the position that as long as the credit card companies revealed their interest rates, fuck you, they can charge anything at all. It was an act of treason by the Supreme Court against the American people. In other words, as long as we tell you in advance that we are going to fuck your wife, there is nothing you can do about it, and by the way, every damn card in America fucks her, so you have no alternative.

This despite the fact that all major religions take a firm stand against usury.

I found one card online that charges 7.9% interest. It's the Capital One Platinum Prestige card. Go get it. You can apply online.

This is not an unknown issue in American politics. There is legislation in the works about it. That legislation is against you, not for you. They are always thinking of new ways to screw you. It's about making damn sure that as long as the credit card company is located in a state that allows extreme usury, you have no defense whatsoever. At least there was such legislation in the works at the time that some website or other was current. I found it on the net somewhere. It was going in the wrong direction, in favor of the billionnaires, fucking your wife a few more ways, as usual in America. Our government is for the rich, not for you, Binky. Admit it.

The day Obama or McCain stands up for the American people by attacking credit card usury is the day I get interested in one of these useless assholes. While they're at it, they can also go after the insanely high cost of prescription drugs. But they won't. Because they are both corrupt to the core. They are both enemies of the American people, like all the other bastards running our great country. They are traitors who deserve to be whipped, tarred and feathered, hanged by the neck until dead a few times, and then punched in the face.

Those who are blessed with the opportunity to serve America by being at the pinnacle of our government should be the true shepherds of God's or Mother Nature's flock. They should not be the assholes we are stuck with, the ambitious scumbags who claw their way to the top. Whatever bullshit issues they are mouthing, most of them are not as important to America as fucking credit card interest and the insanely high cost of prescription drugs, two issues that affect YOU, YOU and YOU.

7- They also changed bankruptcy laws (only against the little guy) and still have student loan interest rates where they strangle the graduate.

    You're absolutely right!
I think the credit card companies are going to screw themselves though, and I only hope the government doesn't bail them out!
    21% intersest is criminal!
What happens when all these people can't come up with the monthly payment?
The whole thing blows up in their face!
I've been hearing rumors that these companies are going to fail big time. So, if you have any debt, pay it off ASAP!
I hate to think what could happen!

I don't think the big credit card companies are in any danger. I think they are making a killing. I just read in a Jesuit enneagram book where my type (Type 1) is supposed to find God by being less demanding of perfection and more accepting of the slow growth process. But I don't see it, sorry. I just see a greedy bunch of guys taking advantage of us. Where's the growth in America? What makes anyone think America is getting better? It is getting worse, not better. So I don't know about those Jesuits.
