Part 1
You've gone to school. You have a degree, don't you? Or even a diploma or certificate. There are students who are trying to up their grade or pass the course you've already taken. They will pay between $10 and $30 per hour for you to get them through a hump by teaching them on the side. It may just be helping them with their homework. It could be finding them do a project that is required for their grade.
What you do is to put an ad in their school or college newspaper. You can put one on Craigs list. You'll get jobs every now and then which can add thousands of dollars to your yearly income.
But what about professional skills? I am a computer programmer, for instance. I sell my teaching services to both computer students who need a leg up in school and other professionals as well. They need advice from a seasoned professional so they can do well at work. I am the one they come to. If you have a skill you can do the same. It works.
You can even hold a seminar that will invite several people at one time to discuss their collective problem. It will be a classroom outside of their classroom. You can be the second teacher they need to get through their studies. You call it an "
Auxiliary Class." Private teaching can earn $50 per hour. Even a simple piano teacher will charge $15 to $30 per a half hour class. You might be able to sell your information for twice that!
