What do you think would be the best format for the perfect Presidential debate?

I think that it would be best if the Candidates would start with their opening statements, and then in equal turns ask 1 or 2 questions about policy issues of one another, each question followed by the answer and then rebuttal....as well as questions about any personal integrity issues that may have arisen during the campaign.....then a panel of 2 to 4 of equally biased operatives of each candidate could do a couple of follow up questions, pertaining to previous answers or new subjects....followed again by answer and rebuttal....then at last closing statements......i think it would be fair....and equally biased.

Personally I like your basic lay out other than I would have a segment for questions from the crowd, ideally from as close to a balanced (for the purposes of this conversation I would probably choose a libertarian, someone not of either major party and not a party that is like the Green or Communist Parties that are clearly leaning one direction.
