You’re never alone.
When you feel blue, when you feel lonely
There’s something true that you must know: Only
That you are never alone. You’re not by yourself
Even when your heart lies up on the bare shelf.
And your cry screams up to the sky
And you are alive but you don’t know just why.
And you feel the sere dryness of your bone,
You have to know that you aren’t alone.
You may have no one in the room.
You may feel the dark need of doom.
You may feel the cold ice
The unrewarded self sacrifice.
And you may find that you’re in despair.
And your mind and heart feel like they tear.
But you must know that it’s a mad disguise.
For the truth you must now realize.
That you have friends and they are with you.
Someone here right now and some you once knew.
And they care. And we all care
And your suffering we will all bear.
And there’s no one alone anymore.
For we are with you in your inner core.
You must know we will always be there.
Always be there with our love to share.
And you can’t hide, no, my friend
To the edge of the Earth, nor till time’s end.
And you know we will always be with you.
For we’ll protect whom we love through and through.
So don’t cry, my dear one. Don’t cry.
Time will heal all things by and by.
And you’ll see that we are together.
Through darkness and stormy weather.
And there’s no failure on Earth or the sky.
Or in heaven or hell, or days gone by
Or days to come, for the future, you know
Will be filled with sweet afterglow.
And God’s purposes will be revealed.
And the promise of true joy is sealed.
For you are never alone, my friend.
For you are never alone.
