Can somebody please tell me where this myth began and what evidence there is backing it? It really seems like a lie that was just repeated until people decided to take it as fact and stop questioning it. Clearly there is absolutely no basis in reality for this, particularly not if we are getting outside of NBC, ABC and CNN News and start wandering Hollywood movies and television.

You can argue that most actors are liberal but not that most movies are. Every single superhero from Superman to Batman, to Spiderman literally screams about the values of the right. -

Sean.......you're kidding right?......CNN? CNBC?NBC?ABC?CBS? Katie Couric? Keith Oberman? Dan Rather? Larry King? OPRAH WINFREY?The NY Times?.....Just about any sitcom writer?......These are all liberal people and organizations.....most of which that are supposed to provide us with unbiased information, free of opinion.
As far as movies go, they have to provide content for conservatives to watch, or they will lose out on those dollars......That is why all of the above listed news organizations are losing viewership to Fox news.
Talk Radio is as popular as ever thanks to the liberal saturation of the media......and nobody wants to hear Air America.....that's why it failed.

Unless you are totally brainwashed with liberal thinking, you cannot possibly watch the mainstream news, watch TV, or watch most movies without seeing it. There are at best movies and TV shows that refrain from bashing conservatives, Republicans, or Christians. Few, if any, that go the other way and bash abortionists or gay activists, etc. Just about everyone in Hollywood is liberal and now gay (or so it seems). I would say just about every TV show including shows on HGTV are pushing the gay is OK message, which you would not notice if you agree with all that. And that is the deal. I see the little jabs at Republicans, or the president at every opportunity. When have you heard a comedian or a TV talk show host/comedian say something positive about Republicans, conservatives, or the president? When have you heard one of them criticize Pelosi or Reid for keeping our national resources from reaching the pump? This is pointless. Pouring water on a rock comes to mind. As I have told you before, I was once a Democrat, but every four years they come along and promise a bunch of crap and all they do is raise taxes, get blow jobs, and fuck up (Jimmy Farter comes to mind). Bush and company try to protect our country from more 9/11-type attacks and all they get is a bunch of hell. Reagan ended the cold war and Democrats spit on his memory. I am not sure where you are not seeing the bias. As far as the media is concerned, Republicans, conservatives, and Christians are Nazis, but I would more align liberals with Nazis. They want to dictate everything in the name of this or that, and control everything we do, limit our freedom, by collecting our money and turning us into slaves of the state to get it back. The thing that really scares me is how people are falling for the biased way the media tries to manipulate our politics. It would scare me just as much if they were as biased the other direction, against liberals. The media, especially the news media, should stick to the facts ... and fire Keith Olbermann.

Ok I would argue that most sitcoms are liberal, but lets say they are? Can anybody even tell me how many Cop shows there are? I can't even keep the CSI's in order these days because they don't even wait until one is canceled to start a new one! The media, or let's start at the bottom of the food chain: the reporter is supposed to be a working servant aimed at public need to know. Who this reporter works for has the ability to erase or add (it's called "editing") what is made available for print, tv, radio or otherwise. The editor is below the publisher, the publisher is below the company umbrella, and so on and so on.Basically, good intentions can start and most of the time are true. But, company policy gets in the way of what is actually fed to us, the public, whether liberal or not.To think that Hollywood is out to get us is a new idea i've not heard of until your post. As far as I can see there are Hollywood stars feeding US what and who WE are supposed to be.If the editor or chain magazine/newspaper company will not let it through their printing press, then it is only right for the public to expect that the media is biased. It is a gut fight or fly reaction.However, fixing the problem is something altogether different and is a task someone should at the very LEAST attempt to fix!
