I have found an interesting thing of peoples view of competition... I had a friend who said he and his people intend to "win at all costs"? At some point he told me about his familly, they were a mess, his sister had AIDS and was young but nearly at her end, his father was nowhere to be found and was divorced. Then one day it dawned on me, to think one will "win at all costs" is like saying I'm going to win even if I have to loose as the cost. That is really a contradiction in thinking. That friend was a good Christian I thought, and I think he may have adjusted his thinking later?

I pondered on the situation and realized something else... if his familly had lived according to that "win at all cost" stuff, well look what the result was for them. I realized that as a good Christian one is told by Jesus to do only good, and do what God says, and even love others if you end up dying doing so... because God can bring you back. Then I thought of the ancient Hebrews who so carefully (for a while at least) followed God, they were taught to love God and their neighbor, and according to the record the truely good Hebrews never lost. No one could ever beat them. No one, not even a massive army against just a few.
