Umm, hello, I'm new here and I was told to stand up and say a little about myself. To start with I have sweaty palms right now. You know, the public speaking thing. Aside from my palms, which is probably not what anyone wants to know about anyway, I'm coming out of a relationship that has left me with no outlet for my bitter humor and mundane ponderings. My dogs are great, they love me emphatically, and they do listen, but I think I'm reaching my limits with them. For instance, when I walked into the living room last night the smarter of my two dogs was pretending to be asleep while I was prattling on about this and that, I really thought she was sleeping until I saw her sneak at smirk at the other one, the one that was I was trying to coerce into barking at which shoe color she thought was better with my outfit. And as doting as my dogs are when I'm eating a burritto, they just don't have a whole lot to offer as far as conversation. I do like to hear myself talk, but enough is enough. Maybe hanging out here I can listen to other people talk and get feed back. Thanks for looking!

Try asking a pet if your jeans make you look fat. Cats will turn their backs and walk away every time. It's humiliating.
