So why doesn't God just say, "Here I am!"  Why doesn't he just heal everyone who is sick, keep people from dying, feed the hungry and even raise the dead?  Why are we even accused of being responsible for the death of his son to begin with?
I mean, we take care of our own children, don't we?  We give them food.  We even take care of our pets.  We don't tell our children, "I killed your brother to pay the penalty for your sin so you'd better be good!"  Why does God do that?  Who ever thought of that scenario to begin with?   Really, killing Jesus was NOT my idea.
Well the answer is simpler than you might imagine.
First, God DID and DOES show himself.  He showed himself to the people of Israel when he took them out of Egypt.  With great and obvious wonders he took them out with a strong hand and fed them in the desert for 40 years.  He even created a pillar of fire to warm them at night and a cloud by day to shade them from the sun.  He did that!
What good did that do?  They rejected him.  He had to keep them in the wilderness 40 years so that the older generation would die out and he could start with a new crop.  So miracles won't do anything.
What about the apostles of Jesus?  They saw him do miracles all during his minstry and called him the savior.  When Jesus was crucified they forsook him and fled.  They went back to their routines.  So God DID show himself and what good did it do for those closest to him?
It was only after his resurrection and gift of the HOLY SPIRIT that it made any difference at all, right?
So by human observation no one recognizes that God exists.  It is the Holy Spirit that is what gives people knowledge of what God is doing.  Because the Spirit of God merges with you and brings along with it the capacity of faith.  Without that, physical miracles mean nothing.  This has been proven time and again throughout history.
So the real miracles happen when the minister at the local church raises someone from a spiritually sick state to spiritual health.  When someone is spiritually dead in sin and is raised to spiritual life through Jesus: These are the real miarcles.  And these miracles happen every day, right under your nose, when you go to church.
So why are we condemned for killing Jesus?  Have you ever thought that if there were no sinners on the Earth back then that there would be no one to kill Jesus?  So the fact that we consent to sin, by sinning ourselves, we consent to the right of the killers of Jesus to perform their own sin.  We consent by our own disobedience to God.  So what is the difference?  It's only the degree to which we sin.  Others sinned and Jesus died for it.  This is why we are condemned for his death.
Adam and Eve, according to the Biblical story, consented to sinning when they ate the fruit of the "knowledge of good and evil."  They, upon Satan's prompting and temptation, saw that their own decisions about what is right and wrong superceded God's judgment.  Satan persuaded them over to his way of thinking that we have the right to choose what is good and what is evil.  THAT is the root of all evil.  That is Satan's philosophy that brings down all men.
So don't question God's existence.  He has done all he can do to show himself.  He has healed the sick, raised the dead and fed his people only to be rejected.  In short, it had no lasting benefit for anyone.  Instead, he raises and heals your spirit which lasts forever and keeps you spiritually healthy and alive.  A good tade off, wouldn't you thihk?  His miracles are spiritual, not physical.  And they change who you are and what you do.  They give real life.  They might not restore a withered hand, but they do teach you not to steal with that hand.  Get the idea?
So if you are looking for miracles, go to church.  You may find they have been inside you all along.

Simply, the answer is NO! It doesn't jibe with the rudimentary doctrines of Jesus or even our own sense of morality. Who can condemn a newborn baby for sin? Who can say Adam condemned us all by sinning? It's a crazy concept!...
Did you read the blog entry below about Adam's transgression? Now read this: How does Jesus define righteousness? It it obedience to the 10 commandments? Is it some sort of formula that we have to follow?...
Exactly how much "in the image of God" are we? Do we have Godly powers to create matter even without knowing that we are? How do we define "reality" and what does science say about the matter?...
The Thanksgiving Poem

The young, svelte boy wiped a tear from his cheek with his frilly, laced cuff as he examined the horrifying image in the mirror before him. His long curly locks flowed down to his shoulders. A pink ribbon adorned his hair. This cosmetic and that, none...
