Seen out of the window of the Coffee Wagon. The next one is with Sjöbba and Tommi. Sjöbba is at home over the weekend.

Just before 10 last night I was feeling like my self again. I am never lonely for a long time.
I  learned to depend on my self from the start as I am an only child.
It was good going to bed with a light on. You see I usually go after my husband and I don't put the light on, instead I grope in the darkness, almost blind at first.

Now I also had the radio on and listed to wonderful classical music until I was falling asleep.

This morning I was on YouTupe listening to music from the time of word war 2.
Then I meant to visit mum. I was already in the jeep when my friends Sjöbba and Tommi came down to the garage.

They said they had just been looking for me. They wanted to take me out to a place called the Coffee Wagon.
The Coffee Wagon is on the harbor. On the other side of town. When I was a teenager it was a "Coffee Wagon! or a coffee shack. When I was working in the summers in the fish plant we would buy coke and "prince polo" there a Polish chocolade biscuit that was very popular here. Now this place is much more sophisticated. An other house has been build for the cafe.
All kinds of people come there, fishermen, poets, busyness men, house wives and every kind you can think of, or almost. lol
I had coffee there and a big sandwich with prawns on, jammy.

We sat there and talked and then we went shopping for groceries.. In the west side of town. We live on the further most east side.

This trip took us 2 hours and when I got home I went to mums. She was very happy to see me and we had a good time. Even though she forgets everything, I tell her it again and again and every one is happy.
We talked about old days now.
I tell her stories of me when I was a child and she listens. I tell her how beautiful she was and how I saw her sitting in the grass, the most beautiful woman in the world. I was 4.

What a lovely day you had Skald.  You do such a great job of telling us about your life and sending us some pics of it all.  The harbor looks particularly beautiful.

You sound much more like yourself now :-) I'm glad you don't stay down for long. It sounds like you had a really great day today and enjoyed the company of your friends and your mom. The Coffee Wagon sounds like a good place to spend some time!

I love reading the story you related about your mom, dear skald.  It is so touching the devotion and love you give her.

The last two sentences really tugged at my heart, and made me cry a bit... good tears.

Botoni. This is the part of the harbor where small boats are. Except for the one behind Tommi. It is a former coast guard ship and is a part of a museum now. The marine museum where I was lately. I just did not have time to go into the ship then.

Kyle.  Yes, thank you for commenting. The Coffee Wagon is good to visit now and then. I used to take mum there when I still could take her out.
Joanna  Sorry I made you cry but since these were not tears of sorry I think I change my mind lol

Your mom is lucky to have your sweeet visits. I would imagine your visits are emotional, as mine are with my father who had a stroke last year. I always enjoy your pictures.

Woman.  I sympathy with you. I think we understand each other. By the way my first name here was kona which means woman. And that is my Icelandic blog's name, I go under full name there.  Thanks you Woman.

Yes. It is not something everyone would understand. Your REAL name is Kona? And you are on an Icelandic Blog? Thank you. For sharing.

Woman.  N o, the  blogs name is Kona but my real name is on the blog as well. It's just that I took the same blog name as you. I started here as Kona too and changed over to skald after a few days because I wanted to be anonymous here but after a while I did not mind if my country men found me here.
Quiet.  Thanks my friend I hope all is well with you ((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Skald...I was thinking of you on Sunday as I was feeling a little lonely myself!  It was odd because I usually enjoy my alone time, but I was borderline depressed about it.

I'm going to go into my Grandmother's cook-book she left me to see if I can make what I think is a chocolate pastry?

I'm also glad to read things were better for you!
