So who is going to win?  Barack Obama and Joe Biden versus John McCain and Sarah Palin.  As soon as Barack Obama got onto the national scene I knew he was going to lose.  When you take all the positives and stack them up next to all the negatives it is fairly dismal for him.  Positives being smart, successful, a legislator, a senator, a family man, a decent human-being and the negatives being poor judgment, inexperience, Ayers, Wright, Rezko, abortion, gun control, Iraq, energy, etc etc.

John McCain's positives are smart, successful, war hero, senator for decades, a lot of experience, moderate, Iraq, and the negatives are his age, the fact that he had cancer, a moderate, and rumors of him being a womanizer.

This is my opinion.  Things could take a vastly different turn.  The debates, any October surprises, world events, and the Ron Paul-Bob Bar effect, could turn this election into a win for either side.  Jimmy Carter at one point had a 15 point lead on Reagan in the polls at one time.  I interpret this as if Obama doesn't have a really sizable lead in the polls against McCain he doesn't have chance.

As I have said before, I close my eyes and try to envision both as president.
I can see McCain clearly as president. I cannot see (Zero)bama as a
    dog catcher.

I personally believe that even most good Democrats see what is happening
to their party and will reject Zero when the chips are down, when it is time
to vote. I cannot imagine any of my state's electoral votes going to anyone
but McCain. Mainly because I live in a very smart state, not influenced that
much by the elite coastal states. However, I plan to vote and I will try my
best to get my family to vote just to make sure the popular vote is there
as well. I figure that is what happened in the 2000 election. I, for one, did
not vote because I did not dream that Gwhore would get 20 percent of
the vote. I think if everyone had to vote again, and honestly voted the
way they would have in 2000, Gwhore probably would have only gotten
20 percent. I hope everyone will remember that, that their vote does
count even if their candidate looks like a sure thing, and go vote. It never
hurts a new president to know that he has a clear mandate from the
people. When McCain takes office, he needs to know that a clear
majority of Americans want him there and believe in the things he believes
in, that America has not gone as crazy as Borax and liberal Democrats
would have everyone believe. I would challenge everyone to remember
what each candidate said a few weeks back. McCain believes life starts
a conception. No matter how radical that may sound, it is leaps and
bounds a better position than (Zero)bama's stance of standing by and
watching a baby die after a botched abortion. That is the fundamental
difference in the two candidates. One represents life and one represents
death. It is really that simple. And bottom line. McCain is not that far
right of most Democrat presidents. He only looks radical when matched
up with the most liberal man the Democrats have ever offered as a
presidental candidate. The choice is totally untested vurses tried and
true. McCain has fought for our country. (Zero)bama has spent his
life trying to tear it down, and listening to others that want to tear it
down (like Wright and Ayers). I personally am praying for a landslide for
McCain. He deserves it and Americans deserve it. We need to show the
liberal media and Hollywood that all their propaganda is never going to
    work.

Mccain will win, without a doubt.

Well, from an outsider point of view, who by the way predicted a clinton-mccain battle, here is my two cents worth......

McCain will be your next president, unless Palin does something stupid like talk. Quite frankly i am surprised that it is taking this long  for mainstream america to discover Obama is all flash and no fire, then again more of you seem to pay more attention to Oprah and Dr. Phil than to the actual issues.

Good luck in November Mr. McCain

I'm an outsider, in no way connected to the U.S. But since U.S. policies affect everyone around the world, we're all watching to see which way the Americans are going to vote.
I hope Obama wins, because he seems a man of integrity.

Alien-honestly I like Obama, but your right when it comes down it, Pro-life versus Pro-death, that makes it easy for me.

Cussane-I think Palin was the punch in the arm that Republicans needed.

    Sadsack-where are you from?

  • sadsack said on Sep 08, 2008....
Hi stop, I'm from India...Obama seems pro-India besides appearing to be a well-balanced person...I guess that's why I like him.

Interesting, I would assume someone in another country would want McCain to win because of his experience.  But to each his own :>

I pray everynight that McCain is elected.

To be honest, in my country there's nothing much to choose between one politician or another. They all suck! I don't really know about the States.
