I plan on going to a Greek festival and getting some moussaka and baklava and anything else that looks good.

The food sounds great!! I actually bought some canned stuffed vine leaves this past week coz I hadn't had it in ages. . .dont know what the proper name of it is(?)

Its 3pm here in the UK now.  MrP and I were in London last night and stayed over at a hotel.  Tigger slept over at friends. We came back this morning, collected Tigger.  I made lunch and now I am going to take Tigger swimming whilst MrP continues to sleep (we only had about 4 hours sleep this morning).

So that's my Sunday so far.

polar, they're called Dolmas and though I don't care for them I know a lot of people who do.  He should also try Zatziki (don't think it's spelled right) with some pita bread.

I'm hoping we can just stay home.  If we are both able to work on our projects and stay out of each other's way well have a mock truce.  I'm trying to whittle down the stuff from Gramma and get it all mailed out.  Would love to have the space to roll out my yoga mat to start doing pilates this week.

That's funny, because I was at an Italian festival last night!
I have to go to a funeral today.......

Polar, I didn't know you were married to Pickers's husband. Is it a threesome or does he keep the two families separate?

UI, vine leaves are very good for you. They put hair on your chest.

Pickly, perhaps the meatballs were poisoned.

I am now back from the Greek festival. I ordered moussaka for $9 and Shelley ordered a gyro for $5. The second guy at the cashier desk said $15, and I said $14, and he said oh yeah, $14. Then later Shelley went back there and heard two women order food for $13 each and the same guy charged them $15 each, and Shelley told them to go back and get their $2. I had the distinct impression originally that the mistake was on purpose. The moussaka was really good, better than a diner. The gyro was shit. The meat was dry and there wasn't enough sauce and stuff to flavor it up.

While eating, I saw a girl I work with. Marina. She was the only person hired for our department in the last 5 years, the same time period during which we lost 7 people whose salaries total about half a million dollars. So in the past I asked Marina if her salary is a half a million dollars, and she said yes it is. Probly take one of the zeroes away and it wouldn't be far off.

Marina said that starting this week she is going to put in tons of overtime to meet her 10/15 deadlines. She said she is going to do her best. To cheer her up, I told her that she should take heart because the more she works (the more free overtime she gives), the richer our boss becomes. So it can be sort of a vicarious thrill, thinking of how rich she's making the boss with her sacrifice. I told her not to do her best, but instead to do her third best. That should be pretty good. Doncha think?

I love Greek food! Sounds like a fun time. So far I've done nothing today except hang around here at SC. I don't think we have any interesting plans except going grocery shopping and doing laundry. Woo-hoo! Our lives are so exciting I can hardly stand it!

Laundry! That's what we just came back from. I'm lots of help. I helped to move some of the clothes from the washer to the basket to bring it to the dryer. I changed the dollar for four quarters. What would she do without me?
