last thursday, while walking home after work i had an idea about a series here in soulcast! (sorry ed i got this idea from your series too)

how about we made a series of blog about our cultures...

this what i like about soulcast we all came from different countries and we learn a lot from each other's culture...

i know you guys know more about the philippines from me and from fellow filipino soulcasters... i made halo halo famous here!!! we learn a lot about iceland from skald... or about japan from hotaka!!! and there are so many americans and british here!!!

here are the rules...

  1. since i started this series i will choose a topic and made a post about it.
  2. and if you want you could make a post too but make sure you put a link on the post i made.
  3. or if you already made a post about it in the past you could link it to my post.
  4. you could point out some grammar errors but it's not that inportant.
  5. and lastly.... RESPECT!!! we all have different cultures!!! so please let us try to respect each other.... for example there are countries who eats dog meat (one of the misconception of our country. it's actually illegal to sell dog's meat here). or there are country that accepts polygamy.... it may have a different view from your country or it may not be accepted on yours but please understand that we are all different... so please RESPECT each other...

well that's all the rules i could think of for today. you guys could add if you want.

so what do you guys think about this???

p.s. sometimes ran out of ideas to blog and i think writing a series like this could realy help in being creative.... ;-)

keep on blogging!!!

Go for the gusto with this one Queen.  Lets have some fun and learn about each other at the same time.  I'm in.  Now all I have to do is figure out what is really Canadian culture.  I hope some of my fellow Canucks are going to pitch in and help.

Good idea. I have mostly written about our culture when the time of the event is there, like my yule or Christmas posts. Yes, let's respect each other. Good point.

In China they eat dogs is a title of a Danish film.

English is your second language, no? I remember when an absolute idiot, an obnoxious fool named Sheltercrow, ragged on you for your grammar. What an ass. Let that moron put all its posts in its second language and see how that goes. Anyway it sounds like a good idea but I don't know what you want me to do.

hmm, maybe i will qpdoll. problem with my trips abroad, they were always work related. so i spent most of my time in factories and hotels, and i never got to get out much and experience the culture. i could tell about the programming and installation issues i solved out on the shop floor, but somehow i don't think that's in keeping with the spirit of your series :-)
