It appears that the first three are already empty. But what about the last one? Is it vodka?

Paper, glad to hear it my friend, we should all try :-)) Life is so precious!

Hotcakes, yes I think it is vodka, or maybe tequila?? LOL!

Halloooooo Polar - thats precisely the reason why I gave up stage 3 about 16 years ago.I still drink now and again - but thats about twice a year  - birthday and new year.

Bwa ha ha!  I love that picture.  I'd like to think I have 3 liquids left, but sadly i think I'm past the soda pop stage at least chronilogically.

If its ok with you Polar I think I'll go back and begin at the start again.  I've had to much fun along the way not to run a repeat performance.  Warm me a bottle of milk please.

The problem with living in this particular stage (third) is, like today, you can wake up with a massive hangover!  Ugghhh.. last night was a bit too much liquid - bottle of champagne, three beers and a "dirty banana" - I was not a happy camper when I woke up.

I must be reverting back, I used to be in stage 3 now I am back to stage 2... probably will stay there for a while.

I'm with Quietone. Stage 2. Fighting against stage 4 with all my might!! ( whiich involves skipping stage 3!
  • polarheart said on Sep 07, 2008....
Skald, LOL! Yes, it is not what most expected.

Cuppa, that's really good news :-)  I think most people are better off without alcohol in their lives :-)

RollingC, yup lets get the nurse to set us all up for a taster LOL!

    Queenie ;-)

UI, yup, I am in the same boat as you. . .the pace of time sucks! LOL!

    Botty, sure baby!! :-)

Silver-Phoenix, sorry to have disappointed you! LOL!

Trav, me too!  Anyway too much of the liquid in Stage 3 is fattening, so I am esp cautious! lol!

    Batty :-)

FG, no wonder you weren't a happy camper!!  Is the "dirty banana" a cocktail?

Quiet, my friend, honestly I think sticking to Stage 2 will all help us to live longer.  So nice to see you around!!

Woman, that is very good news.  My own dad was a drinker and in the end it damaged his heart and caused him to die.  So, good for you!

i was proud of myself last night poley. i did something i've never done before. i was the designated driver, it was pepsi for me all night long, and i had an absolute BLAST! i got to be the only guy at a table full of beautiful women getting drunk, and closed down the bar. :-)
  • polarheart said on Sep 07, 2008....
Trav, WOW! You lucky guy, you!! And well done. . .it is very responsible of you not even to have had one drink.  When I am the driver I will usually still allow myself the legal limit.  You must have had a blast with all those ladies :-)
  • travelr712 said on Sep 07, 2008....
oh, well, i did have one shot to toast my friend's birthday. but it was at 10pm, and we didn't leave the bar till 3am, so i thought that was ok. and ya, i was a lucky guy! and i think i made another good friend from it. one of my friend's, friend's sister came up from fla, and we really hit it off. now, she lives in fla, and she's already got a bf, so there's no chance of a relationship there. but she's really cool, and we've got allot in common (she's an engineer too), and we exchanged email addy's, and told me at the end of the night (i gave her a ride home too), that if i didn't email her within a couple days, she would email me. i emailed her a 'welcome home' this morning for when she gets back on tuesday :-)
  • polarheart said on Sep 07, 2008....
Aww, I am so happy to read that, Trav!! That is wonderful news. . .it just makes me smile so BIG.  I think these kinds of relationships have been missing from your life way too long and I am glad its bringing colour in and some spice :-))  ((hugs))
  • travelr712 said on Sep 07, 2008....
oh, i agree poley. and i tried to supplant that with internet only relationships for so long. now, don't get me wrong, i love all the friends i've made here at sc, including you, but it's just not the same thing as having friends in your non-virtual daily life. seems everyone knew the importance of that fact but me. but hey, i'm old enough to learn, ya know? :-)
