so i swallowed my pride and gave up all hopes that i'll have an apartment to myself for more than a week....i called my dad and told him that my brother can stay with me however long he wanted with the one condition that he keeps the house clean. (i mean, really, is that so much to ask? even if the houseguest is a family member, i don't think it's unreasonable to ask that he help pick up around the house and not leave such a mess.) he'll be gone for three nights out of the week so at least i'll have some quiet nights to myself. my dad's response was silence followed by, ' we'll find a place as soon as we can. bye."

*sigh* he's obviously still upset with me. but well, at least i extended a peace offering. i certainly don't want to make it too enthusiastic because i don't want him to stay longer and risk going crazy myself. hopefully this will all blow over with time....
