Yippee. Two more free posts to fill up. Maybe we should get badges every time we graduate to the next level.

I woke up yesterday morning wanting to do nothing but blog about everything on my mind. Unfortunately, after a busy day I was too tired to do so, and by then had forgotten half of the things I wanted to say. Oh, to live a free life! Free from being tied to a job! I have to figure out how to get away from this office "serfdom." Yep, a lot of people are tied to their jobs, they can't get away. I really sympathize, I do. I would much rather live a carefree life as a writer.

So how long does it take to get promoted from 5 to 7 posts?

I'm self-employed, but sometimes I wish I had a 9-5 job where I could do a mindless obedience to a boss and then go home and forget about it.

Vreidr, Considering that my first post was 3 days ago, that's not too bad.

In my experience, the jobs that are 9-5 (most jobs are now 8-5 or something like that) and are mindless and allow you to go home and forget about it don't pay very well. To get a job that pays well enough for you to afford a decent home, often requires extra responsibilities and/or overtime at some point. I work with professionals who routinely have to travel and/or take their work home with them. Even their assistants have had to work overtime a lot. But they are the ones getting the top pay, of course.

My job had lots of overtime. Sometimes I think overtime paid for the whole house.

Yep, I worked with a secretary who had worked so much overtime that eventually she was able to buy an investment condo and become a landlord!

But she was so busy with all of the overtime that she complained she didn't have time to go to the bank and deposit her paychecks. Can you believe that? She must have had quite a bit in the bank to live on without depositing her paychecks on time!

See? I told you it wouldn't be long before you got more posts. Next it will be 10, and I believe that's the limit...not sure, though.

Doesn't it depend on how long you've been on the roster here ?
My limit is/has been 10 and I only post once in a blue moon.
