The page you were looking for no longer exists

We were away for a few days over the weekend, so I asked my brother to stop over at our house and make sure our cats had food and water. He does this for us all the time, and generally I think our cats like him. But he informed me that this time, he botched the job up a little.

He filled up the bowls with dry food, then he proceeded to fill up the big dog sized water dish (we have 4 cats so they need a lot) And then as he bent over to put it on the ground next to the food, he hit his arm on the table. And he ended up dumping the bowl of water on my cat Misty's head!

Apparently she was quite pissed off at him and ran off to hide in shame over her ruined fur. And he had to throw away all the food and start over again because he drenched it.

*shakes head*

It was a simple task, Jack! :-P My poor kitty....

I didn't know about this until later though. But I got a big hint that Misty was extremely pissed off at me for leaving her. And for allowing my brother to inflict Chinese water torture upon her. We had only been home for about 20 minutes when Misty comes walking into the kitchen. I was happy to see her and I attempted to pick her up and love her, but she wanted no part of that.

Then she looked at me, squatted down, and took a big shit right on the kitchen floor at my feet! Man oh man, you don't wanna piss my cat off. The message was received loud and clear. That pile of shit said, "don't ever leave me in the care of your evil brother ever again, you bastard!"

Can you believe that? She never does stuff like that, so I know she was mad. The other cats didn't seem to care that much. They might not have even noticed we were gone. But my cat is very needy and neurotic (kind of like me) so she doesn't do well being without me. And this was my message to say that next time, we better take her camping with us!

Ahh...animals. You gotta love them even when they shit all over the place....

wow, I thought people took revenge a bit far, but I don't think anyones ever shit on my floor to get even.  Perhaps a peace offering of cat nip is in order.

LOL!  Now I've been on the receiving end of kitty scorn many many times in my life, but I don't think I've ever had a cat be as...direct... as to what they thought of me :p

    Only you, Kyle.  Only you.

Make sure you never bring in a dog to your place.  My friend has this dog that he used to bring to my place once in a while and my cat would hide when the dog was here.  Then, as soon as the dog left, she would poop right where the dog was laying, which was my bed.

Be nice to your cat, et.

I'm sorry for both you and Misty.  :)

Everything's back to normal now, yes?  I'd hate to think that your cat would hold a grudge for so long.

Well hopefully she has forgiven you by now!  But I don't think that taking her camping would have turned out any better.  She probably would have shit on the floor of the RV for taking her out of her comfort zone.  Damned if you do and damned if you don't....cats are kind of like that huh?

ET- If you ever want a gentle, always happy, life long friend that will meet you at the door overflowing with love even if someone you left them with soaks them and their food, get a Golden Retriever.

Revenge and meanness are not in their vocabulary and when life gets you down, they are there for you.

When my wife and I were married, she had two cats. I liked the Siamese, but the other wouldn't accept me. He pissed on my Fleetwood Mac 'Stevie Nicks' poster and never showed another happy day in his life.

After those two, at my wife's request, we went to Golden's and have never looked back.

I don't dislike cats at all, but the difference is so huge.

LOL! oh what a message she gave you!

  • quietone said on Sep 03, 2008....
LOL that was a message for sure!!  my cat used to jump into my suitcase when I tried to pack.  I had to shut the door and keep him out in order to finish.  So, what do you do when Nat leaves you alone?  (or should I even ask?)  LOL

LOL  I guess she told you!

OMG, I'm still laughing...  I hope she forgives you quickly.  Mine always poops behind the couch.

uniquely--No one has ever shit on my floor to get even either. Let's just hope this was an isolated incident! We bought her some special kitty treats so hopefully that'll smooth things over.....

nyt--This was a first for me too! I know, this stuff never happens to anyone else but me :-P

grape--Yeah I think all of our cats would hate us if we brought a dog over. I know my old cat years ago didn't like babies. He peed on my niece's diaper bag! But I think that Misty has forgiven me now. She sat on my lap earlier and was purring....

tizzy--You're probably right. I don't think Misty would have enjoyed camping at all. Especially the 2 1/2 hour drive. She freaks out going to the vet 10 minutes away. So I can only assume it would all just be very bad.....

beyond--Golden Retrievers are nice dogs. I think if I ever got a dog it'd be that one. But we really are cat people. Poop on the floor and all. At least it doesn't happen very often!

    secret--It was quite a message!

quietone--I get a little sad and lonely when Nat leaves me alone, but no, I don't crap on the floor when she gets home! I'm pretty sure she'd never come home again if I did that! :-P

Mimi--I was just glad she pooped on the linoleum so it was easy to find and clean up. Behind the couch would suck because I wouldn't know where the stench was coming from!

    FG--Glad I made you laugh :-P

Ha, I can totally relate to this.  Almost 2 years ago I took in a kitten who had been abandoned by her mother at 10 days old.  My husband learned quickly not to mess with her because when she was about 6 weeks old he decided to break wind near her and as he was about to sit down by her on the bed, she promptly stood up, squatted under him and took a nice healthy kitten poo.  Then she proudly walked away and sat on the end of the bed licking herself while watching him.  Funniest thing I ever saw...although now I'm glad to know she's not the only one out there willing to inflict this kind of revenge!

I have a dog, she's got a lot of personality lets say.  One day a friend came over with their dog and she didn't like this dog at all, it was a toy to her.  So she grabbed that dog in her jaws and promptly went down to the damn and dropped the dog in the water.  Then strutted back to the house and shook herself in front of the dogs owner - mud, water, dirty water all over him.  Your cat has personality! I dare say though that next time, maybe find a way of keeping the water away from the cat food... or your brother away from your cat!

LOL I think thats the sort of thing one of my kitties would do to me. Tat was so funny :-)
  • evil_twin said on Sep 04, 2008....
hegemone--That's really funny about the kitten! Apparently after she smelled his fart, she assumed that this was the place to drop a load :-P

Lucy--That's hilarious! Your dog dropped the other dog in the water? :-P I think next time, I might ask someone else to watch the cats besides Jack. He can't be trusted!

Batty--I'm glad you got a laugh out of this :-)

I'm sorry about this dude. I didn't mean to piss your cat off so severely she shit on your floor!

    [dies laughing]

I am a horrible cat babysitter, granted. But it was an accident! Besides I thought Misty was the cat who jumped in the shower with you before? Doesn't she like water?

Guess it has to be on her terms eh? :-P
  • RollingC said on Sep 04, 2008....
Animals don't talk but they sure know how to leave a message.  (LOL)

  • evil_twin said on Sep 04, 2008....
Mr. Box--This was all your fault!! :-P Misty does jump in the shower occasionally and she washes her face in the water bowl a lot. But apparently being doused with an entire bowl of water while she was trying to eat was not a welcome bath!

RC--They sure do know how to get the message across! I'm just glad most people don't crap on the floor to show their anger :-P

dude, even when my cat's royally pissed off, he doesn't dump on the floor that long after the fact. you clearly are dealing with a really, really vengeful puddy tat!
