Tonight I feel like cooking, hubby has been hammered of late and so have I to be honest, our meals have been golden oldies or comfort foods (meat, thee veg) or pasta (my personal speciality I have several different recipes in my head for immediate pasta meals)

Tonight the menu thus far:

Lets start with dessert!

Peach, Mango, Berry crumble (with a touch of Brandy and vanilla pod) topped with a scoop of marscaponi cheese.

Morrocon Lamb (back strap)
scollop potato's w' garlic, butter & fresh chives (but of course)
Green long beans w but of course butter and a little honey
Herbie burbs

Now my question is should I try to make a Jus with the sauce from the back strap Lamb? I'll be searing it first (hold the juice in) then baking it in the oven for a few minutes (Like it a little raw I'm afraid)

I was thinking that I coudl use some of the water I do the beans in and scrape the pan juice together with a little flower (corn) to thicken it from water.

Any takers? who wants to play chef tonight?

I'm sure dinner is well over, but did you consider mint jelly as a dip or glaze for the lamb?  The Au Jus sounded good, especially with the veggies.
