Welcome to another issue of the Latter-day Light Newsletter.
Over
the last few weeks we have been studying the War chapters of Alma in
the Book of Mormon. I have learned so much as I have studied the words
of this inspired book as it relates to our day---a day of war and
preparation for the coming of Jesus Christ to the earth once again. As
the world moves towards destruction around us, we, as Latter-day
Saints, should be moving towards becoming a Zion people. We need
strong testimonies of the gospel and the courage that comes only from
the Spirit and trusting in the Lord. A few of my thoughts on the time
we live in are included in this newsletter.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland spoke in September 2004 on the time we live in to the students at Brigham Young University. I think you will find his words inspiring and encouraging.
Thanks for being a subscriber to our little newsletter! I hope you continue to enjoy it.

There was the civil rights, women's rights, worker's rights, sexual revolution, political revolution, and communist revolution around the world. All the earth seemed in turmoil during those times, especially to a young child.
