Little Plock and I had some special time last week.
He loves to go out to eat, especially when ice cream is involved.
This is the way it went, at our local Friendlys.

Hostess- Table for two?

Little Plock- Yes, could we have a booth?

Hostess- Of course!  Kevin will be over to take your order shortly.

Little P- I have to hit the tank!

Pickers- The what?

LP- You know the bathroom!

Pickers- Don't let me stop you!

Kevin- May I .........(LP races past him)  take you drink order?

Pickers- ( laughing) Sorry about that, he's desperate!  I'll have an iced tea and........

LP- (racing back) ...and I'll have a coke!

Pickers- That was fast!

Kevin- (laughing) I'll be right back with your drinks.

LP- No hurry (he gets out his crayons and starts to draw a tic tac toe board on the place mat)
Let's play!  Guess what I'm making?

Pickers- Waffles?

LP- (snorts) No!

Pickers- I give up!  What is it?

LP- Tic Tac Toe!  Wanna play?

Pickers- I like that game where you draw a picture and I try to guess what it is.

LP- Ookay, but I'm first!

Pickers- ( sneezing) Acchhooo!

LP- Bless you Mom.

Pickers- Thanks, LP.

LP- Don't mention it........Now what do you think this is?

( He is drawing a bi-plane)

Pickers- A stick?

LP- NO!

Pickers- A fish?

LP- NO!

Pickers- The Statue of Liberty on top of Mt. Everest?

LP- NO! (laughing)

Pickers- Wisconsin?

LP- ( still laughing) Can't you see the wings?

Pickers- Okay, now I know it's most definitely Winnie the Pooh!

LP- It's a bi- plane! ( laughing )  Okay, your turn now!

Pickers- Alrighty, but you'll never guess what this is in a million years! ( I draw a line and
a few squiggles ).

LP- Umm....a stick?

Pickers- Wrong!

LP- A jump rope?

Pickers- Uh uh!

LP- I give up!  What is it?

Pickers- Wisconsin!

LP-  ( laughing hysterically) Your turn again!  Do another one Mom!

( I draw a fish)

Pickers- There you go!  And you'll never get this one!

LP- A fish?

Pickers- Rats!

LP- Your turn again!

Pickers- Again?  Okay!  But this time you're getting a really, really, really hard one!

( I draw a circle)

LP- The moon!

Pickers- Nope!

LP- A cookie?

Pickers- Wrongo!

LP- A Frisbee?

Pickers- Not even close!

LP- The Statue of Liberty?

Pickers- Ha ha!  You'll never guess!

LP- Wisconsin!

Pickers- Wrong again!

LP- I give up !  What is it?

Pickers- A map.......of how to get to Wisconsin!

LP- ( giggling beyond control)

Kevin- Here you are!  ( He sets our drinks down, takes our order, and leaves)

LP- Mom?

Pickers- Yes, LP?

LP- I love you all the way to the moon!

Pickers- I love you more than candy!

LP- I love you more than everyone in the whole world!

Pickers- And I love you more than Wisconsin!

Twyla:  I wish that was where my cheese came from.... nope... I'm living in a faraway land where Cheddar is considered gourmet.

pickers:  Hiya' self.  Everything is just hunky dory... and SC is finally up and running again, so maybe I'll post tomorrow.  Seeeee yaaaaa.

It was brilliant all the way through but I loved the ending best. I am surprised LP had the patience for you winning so many times. And I am impressed with how you managed to include Wisconsin into the moment so many ways. Do Idaho next!
  • pickersplock said on Sep 08, 2008....
Boy, have I been a lazy bum lately!
    Sorry everyone!
Thanks NM, I've been writing these little moments down as a memoir! :)

Hey, Paper!  Here's a party hatted butt for you <3!

Hotaka, well, I am brilliant it's true!  LOL
There other day oldest Plock asked where heaven was.  I said, "I think it's north of Philadelphia."
I'll try to get Idaho in soon.
  • hotaka said on Sep 08, 2008....
You know, the next day after reading this I saw a girl at the station wearing pink shirt that said Wisconsin on the back.
  • Twylarants said on Sep 08, 2008....
    GO PACKERS!
  • hotaka said on Sep 08, 2008....
    Fudge packers?
  • Twylarants said on Sep 08, 2008....
Green Bay Packers?  Green Bay, Wisconsin, Packers?
Sorry, I've moved on from cheese. I'm on football now.
    scuse me, Pickers.
  • pickersplock said on Sep 09, 2008....
Does Wisconsin have a Football team called
    the Wisconsin Cheese Packers?

    Hotaka, that's eerie!
Yesterday I was washing the dishes and I had the urge to call my sister in law, but before I finished she called me, and I said, "Gee that's weird, because I was just going to call you".
    And then she said, "Why?"
So I said, "I don't know, you just popped into my head, and I felt like I should call you."
And then she said, "Well, guess what?  You're going to be an aunt again!"
    Weird, huh?
  • kruuyai said on Sep 09, 2008....
What does fudge packing have to do with being an aunt?  My mom used to work at the packing house in Wisconsin... do I get any brownie points for that?  Any fudge brownie points.?
  • Twylarants said on Sep 09, 2008....
I can't figure that out, either, Kru. It sounds like Picker's aunt wore a Wisconsin Meat Packers t-shirt when she was arrested and taken down to the station house. Hotaka told her he'd call Pickers to come bail her out, and she popped him in the head.
    I could be wrong, though.

I love brownies. Don't like the nuts, just the brownie. Cheesecake brownies are the best, especially if you use Wisconsin cheese.
  • pickersplock said on Sep 09, 2008....
    Did someone mention fudge?
  • botoni said on Sep 11, 2008....

OH FUDGE!  ......I'm awfully late getting here.  Pickers you are a wonderfully insane mom!  At the same time you're geologically challenged.   Those cream cheese commercials have warped your view of Philadelphia.

  • Twylarants said on Sep 11, 2008....
Not to worry, Booty, it's never to late for Philly cheesecake.
    Wait..............
Philly cheesesteak......it's never too late for Philly cheesesteak.
    With fries.
