From the road outside of our house, where students are passing through going to the school, I saw a blind man on one corner of the pathway begging for a single penny from those who passed his way. If he heard footsteps walking towards him, he automatically extends his hand. Suddenly, I just thought, what if this man is my brother or my father?...... What will I feel?.....well, It would really break my heart for sure....
I ask myself, where the hell on earth are the relatives of this old man? We don't really know what is the story behind him but I don't think he has no one to turn to....even a niece or nephew perhaps who can take good care of him.
Upon seeing him,he looks very hungry. So I took a slice of bread and a glass of water and gave it to him. He was very grateful to me because he has not taken breakfast yet. And so I was right.
If I were on his shoes, it would really be hard on my part...and I don't think I can make it....begging for money with all the insult that you can get from people who do not know how to understand the situation. It's true that we cannot avoid some people who will ridicule you.
At the back of my mind I said, who needs help anyway?
It's time to reflect.........
Time to assess our relationship with God.......
"God will make a way.......... when there seems to be no way"
