First, you notice your subordinates don't laugh at your jokes anymore like they used to; then you find out you can't beat them at tennis anymore like you used to...and you don't get their usual attention like you used to; it is then that you remember...you've recently retired from the corporate world.
Well, whatever stage you're at, retirement makes you live your life your own way. It gives you empowerment. After you have invested in others for so long, it's about time you invest in yourself.
What you need is an intellectual challenge and avoid being bored to death.

silver, I'm sure there are people out there who would appreciate some information about something positive.If there are ten, twenty people who benefited in some positive way by what I write here, then It's gratifying enough on my part.I made a promise to myself to only write about positive things from now on, it's good for my blood pressure because I realized posting rants on my part is an exercise in futility. Like it or not, there will always be corrupt personalities in (the Philippine) government, there will always be people who get screwed in corrupt transactions and to get even, they become whistleblowers and assume the mantle of respectability, thereby In the public's mind, they become holier than the Pope. And it makes me want to puke. See my point now? :)Btw, I'm using the 'google chrome' browser as of now. It has some really nice and user-friendly features. Check it out.
