This is fun. The worst John McCain could have done would have been to pick a Joe Biden. That would have been the kiss of death.
 
I was hoping for some kind of minority. I like a good race but I also want to see history "bent" (LOL - pardon me, I'm giddy with politiholism)...
 
I want to see something new in the White House but I want some choices, not to be dragged in by a "movement."
 
I like her. She's "articulate." She's smart. She's brassy. She's hot. Very hot.

    A blatant play for the Hillary supporters disgruntled at their concessions to The Great Obama. Obama steam-rolled Hillary and today she sent a message out in positive response to McCain's pick...almost like a little "wink" to the girls that it's okay to vote Republican now, "I'll be back in 2012 to get the old man..."

    I wish to take issue with the music at the Democrat Convention. Not sure why I'm doing it here, but why not? I'm shit-faced and I'm here.
     
    Most jarring of all was the country western song twanging at intolerable levels at the conclusion of Obama's acceptance speech. Country western? The country's first black president ushered in by country western? And not some watered-down rocked-up pop-related version of country western, but Country Western.
     
    Did I mention that the candidate is African American? And his running mate's from DELAWARE, that opry house capitol of the world.
     
    That was almost offensive. And I'm not easy to offend.
     
    I'm not suggesting Snoop Dog, here, but how about a little "Ebony & Ivory?" (dons sunglasses and rocks head back like Stevie Wonder, claps)
     
    I fear the inaugural music selections to come. This alone, plus the apparent hotness of Governor Palin, may have a strong effect on my vote, should I actually remember on the right day this year.

    It's weird how she parallels Obama and McCain parallels Biden. It's almost as though the Odd Couple running mates should switch partners.

If he skates by with this crap she will resign under the guise that she wants more time with her kids and his real choice will come out of hiding. Hahaha. Foolish!

    This is funny. I am so completely amused by this selection.
     
    The more Palin's credentials are questioned, so too must the credentials of Obama be questioned. They have similar "public service" backgrounds away from the D.C. mainstream, both are untested (campaigning doesn't count) and both are basically wild cards.
     
    McCain, you crafty ol' maverick, you. Tell the ageists to go fuck themselves, and thanks for making an outside the beltway choice. I hate it when people who are otherwise fairly rational insist on towing the party line, voting for whatever Democrat or Republican ends up getting the nomination no matter what, or trying to get on the winning side so as not to "throw my vote away" (backward thinking).
     
    Condie Rice has already sold her soul. So has Colin Powell. Who cares if YOU haven't heard of Sarah Palin yet? You have now. She's hardly a nobody. In fact, she may be a more well-rounded somebody than any of you. I've been studying up on her. Her powers are astonishing.
     
    I am not saying anyone has my vote yet. I just love the fact that it's getting interesting, and this keeps the feminine dynamic alive and kicking right along with the racial dynamic.

    I saw the paper today the 2yrold is actually an  infant. If he at 72 yrs of age can't for some reason fufill his duties this woman who has government experience of all of 2yrs and her part-time Mayorship counts {sorry,hahaha} is suppose to take care of this country,deal with Iraq,and Iran and all of the other countries and her 5 kids. How many people does Alaska have anyway? Like 100,000? I can see other countries all over the world getting the biggest laugh off of this election.
     
    There is nothing Maverick about McCain's advisors checking the republican roll call and finding the simplest idiot that would compliment and solve all of the Obama attacks.
    • He is out of touch with the common man if he and his idiot advisors think that this spectical is going to actually work. I hear he actually met her only an hour before introducing her? WTF is that all about? Some pick when you claim Obama has No experience and a kid and you pick someone with even LESS experience and younger than him. This crap reaks of a bad HOLLYWOOD SITCOM or MELODRAMA.
     

    I guess if he can teach her about Foriegn policy and stuff Obama can be taught too? Like I said before JOKE. HAHHAHAHAHAHA!

    Here's a question:

     

    Could YOU serve as President?

     

    Does a president have to follow a specific curriculum to qualify? Could one of your kids be involved in a pregnancy? Should you have to be a career politician to be President? What other jobs or professions might build good credentials to lead politically? Does the presidency have to be a political position? Should it be?

     

    That's a lot for one post to ponder, but these are the questions raised. I'm really interested in your answers Rolling, Husband, kelly, des, UE, scipio, etc., COULD YOU BE PRESIDENT?

     

    I'll bet McCain thinks that you think you could.
