Shawn Scott Lockamy, 25, was busted by members of the U.S. Marshals Oregon Fugitive Task Force (OFTF). Marshals located Lockamy at the Townfair Apartments on Northwest Wallula Ave.

A Clackamas County warrant was issued on July 3 for a parole violation. Lockamy was originally convicted on March 1, 2001 for second degree sex abuse. In 2006, Lockamy was designated as a “Predatory Sex Offender” by Clackamas County Community Corrections.

About a dozen members of a Native Hawaiian sovereignty group locked the gates of the landmark Iolani Palace this week. They posted no trespassing signs that read: "Property of the Kingdom of Hawaiian Trust."

The action came on Admission Day, a state holiday marking Hawaii's admission to the Union on August 21st, 1959.

Montoya, Kacey: Today at around 12:55 PM, Suburban Propane delivery truck driver Michael May, age 25 of Stayton, had just made his delivery at the top of Guy Moore Rd., north of Detroit, when he saw a man standing in the road waving his arms. May stopped and was told by the man that he was lost and had been in the woods for a few of days and needed help. May took the man in his truck, and after a a few of minutes of listening to the man's story, pieced the mystery together and realized this was missing man Search and Rescue crews had been appearing for for the past 3 days. May drove Sims to the Search and Rescue Command Post where they contacted authorities.

Sims told authorites on scene that he went out hiking, got lost and started wandering appearing for help. Sims was hungry, thirsty, but otherwise in nice physical condition. He is currently being evaluated concludedly by medical staff on site.

Montoya, Casey: Helicopter crash report released
The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary finding on the cause of the helicopter crash in northern California August 5 that killed nine Oregon firefighters.

The report tells the helicopter lost power at 7:41 p.m., clipped trees and crashed. The helicopter had made two trips already transporting firefighters to a hot zone. After refueling and gathering the Oregon firefighters, the helicopter crashed just after takeoff.
