I managed to fill the day, and I feel better.
I made cherry pie filling, so I can make a pie to take to my mom for her birthday. mrMimi wasn't totally thrilled with this because he is very territorial about his cherries.
I started the project of sorting and re-folding and straightening up my fabric bins. I have two of those big plastic boxes with covers just exploding with fabric. My problem is, when I sew I tend to not clean up as I go along. Therefore, along with the useable (or is it usable?) stuff, there is a pretty good amount of scraps and small bits and threads and just junk. i clean them out every now and then, and I get to feel like it's Christmas when I find fabric I forgot I had.
I also finished two small quilts. One for me and one for the cat. She wasn't real keen on the idea when I showed it to her. She hissed and growled at it, so I put it on the floor under the piano so she can make friends with it. The idea is that she will learn to love sleeping on it instead of the sofa cushions. LOL I live in hope...
And I was accosted by a spider in my sewing room. I didn't see it hiding on the bag of quilt batting I picked up, and it decided to take a stroll across my bosom. I think not! It was headed right for my tatoo! Being fondled by an arachnid is not on my top ten list, so of course, I screamed like a girl, and totally freaked out. <shudder> I have no idea where it went when I brushed it off of me, but I hope it was thoroughly traumatized.
Good grief, it's four in the morning. Nighty night.
