Okay, we only have HBO because it was actually LESS than our basic package!  I don't know if I could ever live without it now.  They had a mini-series that was based off the book "Generation Kill" and it's about the Iraq war and the first team of Marines heading to Baghdad.  For seven hours straight, I watched it on "On Demand."   I would say this is what I would believe Iraq to look like in my mind.

I HIGHLY recommend this to ANYONE.  I NEVER thought it was like that for them when they were heading to the border, just by watching the news here back home (I was getting ready to give birth).  The reporter that wrote the book, worked on the movie as well as some of the actual soldiers.

There was a soldier that filmed a LOT with his video camera.  Here is some of the soldier and "reporter" introduction footage that he took...these are the REAL soldiers that are portrayed in the series:

beyond:  You HAVE to watch it!  There are only a few scenes that I couldn't look at.  I think the first episode "On Demand" is set to expire in September some time.  I wish there was a part two of 7 more episodes, but I'm glad for the soldier's that there wasn't.
