The fist part of the day we used, relaxing in Eka´s garden. Inge, Eka's sister and also my friend was to meet us there.
In Eka's garden.
Eka was taking care of her grand children's turtles . The children were on holiday. The turtles got to go out in the good weather.
Eka in the garden working on the potatoes. It was already 1'o clock and Adda wanted to go down to Zhelendorf center before the day was over. She also wanted to go to the steak house for the last time so we went and we asked Eka to tell Inge where we were. We could not reach Inge on the phone or mobile. Inge came shortly after us to the steakhouse.
Inge came to the steak house and ate a little something with us. Adda went before us. Shopping.
We came to the public park in the center and met Adda there again. She had not taken a long time shopping now.. Amongst things she bought a T shirt for me. I asked her to because I needed something clean on my way home. Is this tree in the middle not beautiful. They have many weeping willows in Berlin.
This house is behind the public park and Inge now told me that it is the "gutshaus" from the old days. The lords house or I don't know how to translate it. Where the fine gentle people lived. she also told me that there had been a pond in the center of town before and I saw a picture of it. It has dried up many years ago.
One forgets to look up and usually only sees the shops. We were already walking back home. It is only a 20 minutes walk
Just a house on the way.
A lain that I have often walked on the way home from the village as we call Zhelendorf center.
There are so many beautiful family houses in Zhelendorf. I captured this one on the way home.
The church in Eka's street. Now we went home and stayed there until it was time to go. At 7.45 we left. I kissed Aunt Thea and she said "will I see you again?" yes, I said, I have so often said good by to her thinking I will not see her again. But already Inge has asked me to come to her 70th birthday in May.
Eka said to me. Look that is how the East Germans saw Berlin.
Talking to Eka who was driving us and looking at the country and country houses rush by. Or were we rushing by?
And at 10.30 PM we went into the air. The fight was 3 and a half hour and was quick in my mind. Still we were at 12 midnight home. There is a 2 hour differnece between our times. The children Freyja and Þór were at the airport to greet us. Pálmi was there too, of course. The children fell asleep on the way home.
