You're only as old as you let yourself be, I realised this when I became a blogger seven weeks ago. It was quite by accident. I was searching for freelance writing gigs when I came across a site called writingup. another revenue sharing blog site, and I liked. I started blogging there, then here, and some other places and pretty soon my life seemed taken up with blogging.
Not just blogging of course, I still deal with students and research, but I also do some freelance writing work now. I am beginning to learn about search engine optimisation, hyper links, and key words, though not always putting that knowledge into practice. Blogging can open up a new world, I've made some new cyber mates and spend more than half my days sat over a computer.
The point of all this subjective rambling is that it struck me today, that life no longer begins at forty. All those of you getting ready to retire, stop and think, your life could begin at sixty. Sixty is the new forty and blogging the elixir of youth.
