Madhura was in the Back of River ‘Yamuna’ on the same riverbed, the kings Dom of pandvas were also situated. The distance would be more than a hundred miles to wards west. The city called “Indraprastha” was the capital of pandavas. Prince DhrmaRaj being the elder and the younger brothers were four in number. ‘Bheema’ ‘Arjuna’ ‘Nagula’ and ‘Shaha Deva’. Since the king pandu was the father of these five sons, they were called as pandavas. They had cousins dhuriyodhana and his brothers. Father Thrutharastra and the sons were having their own king Dom. All these family members were belonging to ‘Kshtrya’ the honoured caste of warriors in those days.
Dhuriyodhna and his brothers were having jolousyin their inner heats. When prince Arjuna and prince Bheema were very skillful in their career of was tecahningue like wrestling and handling the Bow with arrow, the cousins Dhuriyodhana and his brother were lacking far behind. Their teacher was the great “Dhronachari”.
Sri Balarama and Sri Krishna visited to this country and made a visit to the hermitage of “Dhronachari”. They were all close realatioes indeed. Dhuriyodhana paid a warm welcome and treated with “Padha Booja” to Sri BalaRama, being the elder person to sri Krishna(padha pooja a heartfelt honour to the elders by washing their feet upon a plantain leaf and worship their feet) they then went to the palace of Thrutha Rashtra as well as to the palace of Pandavas. “Kundhi Devi” the Mother of pandavas welcomed Sri Krishna and Sri Balarama. Only at her temple, divinely happenings of meeting of Sri Krishna took place and she became the affectionate wife of Sri Krishna.
While the days were passing in a fine atmosphere, the marriage affair for “Subhadra” her sister-in-law came. Vasudeva deicussed the matters with ministers in the court hall and asked them to give proper suggestion in choosing a Bridegroom for “Subhadra”.
Sri Balarama stood first and gave his opinion about Thuriyodhana the son of Thrutharastra. The ministers could not give any alternative suggestion in the court hall. Sri Krishna also felt helpless, since his brother’s wish was different.
‘Subhadra’ was actually in love with ‘Prince Arjuna’. She had the good accounts of Arjuna and heard much about his skills through her circle of friends. Brother Balarama was not fully aware of the cunning charactors of the sons of Thruthavasthra. There was one crooked minded man called “Saguni” who was actually spoiling the mind of dhurijodhana ‘Saguni’ was having the plan to ruin the family of pandavas.
