I too had to break down and buy comfortable walking shoes. Even the most comfortable platform shoes won't get you through a day of walking without being in pain!

The best I found were Mephisto Allrounders. They are heaven on feet! Honestly, they are a bit sporty for me but still much better than sneakers. Not once did I even think about my feet hurting. They did get tired from all the walking, but no hurting or blisters at all. I had happy feet!!
