The page you were looking for no longer exists

Wowy it's been almost a year since I wrote my last blog on my trip to Europe, this whole time I've been meaning to finish it, but I guess I didn't feel like it till now.  So I think I will try to finish this since school starts in a couple days and I actually feel like it.  I'd like to dedicate this to Beyond, I hope you get to go one day.
I see I left off with Switzerland.  So after a good night's sleep in Lucerne, we went to get our free breakfast.  We found out it was at another hotel that I guess is the same owner.  It took a little while to find because we couldn't believe that was the hotel they said it was.  It was really fancy looking, had marble floors and stuff, but they were constructing it too.  When we got to the floor with the breakfast there was a lot of fancy people and I wasn't dressed very well because it was early and I was hungary.  I got some weird looks, or at least I thought I did, but I didn't care.  This was the only time in all of Europe where they actually had scrambled eggs, so I was happily distracted with that.  I filled up on lots of yummy things, and my momma and I snuck some food to go.  Then we went to get our luggage and I was not looking forward to that.  The elevator in our hotel was tiny!  I mean my mom and I could barely fit in it, and it opened not just on one side, but two.  We had to make two trips but it turned out ok.  We walked to the train station which was a couple blocks away and we had a lot of time before our train.
We looked in some shops at the station and they had a Swatch store.  My momma was feeling nice and said I could get one.  The battery of it stopped working a few weeks ago too, hmm that seems fast.  When we got on the train it was pretty roomy and I believe I took these on the way to Paris.

On the way to Paris

More on the way to Paris

It was a pretty easy train ride, not to many people were on.  When we got to Paris, we had to transfer to get to our hotel.  While we were there trying to figure out tickets and things, I started to hear a lot of loud noise, banging on drums and singing/chanting.  It was getting louder and then I saw that people with banners and flags of weird colors were marching in the train station, it was a little intimidating, but I was happy to see something rebellious from the french in person.  We made it to our hotel and went out to eat because I had only had the food we stole from breakfast since train food is pretty expensive.  To me it seemed like it took my mom forever to figure out where she wanted to eat at, any place sounded good.  She finally decided on a cafe place across the street from the train station by our hotel.  The service took forever, which seemed about right for Europe.  Again I was a little disappointed in the food, I think we just kept going to the wrong places to eat in Paris, which is a real shame because I hear it's suppose to be so yummy.  While we were waiting for our food, I was distracted by more people marching.  They'd come in spurts, every now and then someone with a pink shirt or flag would go by or sometimes yellow or blue, singing/chanting.  I forget where I heard it from, but someone said it was the elections in France, hehe they're funny.
When we finally paid our bill for the food, it was early evening and we didn't know what else to do.  So my mom got really excited that we could probably go see the Moulin Rouge.  Dread took over, since there was no way out of it.  We went back to our room and got dressed up.  Then we asked the hotel people for directions on how to get there, I was hopeing this brochure we found of it was the wrong one, but they said it was the famous one everyone goes to, it just looked too racy for me.  We made it there just fine, and there was a ton of people lined up.  We asked them if we could get tickets and they said no it was sold out.  I was relieved, but felt bad for my momma.

Can Can

Then literally bus loads of people were arriving.  I remembered when we were in Paris before that someone recommended walking around that area, so we decided to do that.  We walked down the street to the corner and I was soo thirsty, I was thirsty all through Europe because it seems hard getting water there.  We stopped for something to drink and kept walking, bad idea.  We started running into some pretty dirty shops.  Dirty as in strip clubs or places that sold gross things, and they can put any sort of pictures they want up in their windows.  Definetly didn't want to see that with my momma, so I said I didn't want to walk this way anymore.  We turned around and headed back to all the peoples.  We decided to take some pictures while we were there.

Moulin Rouge

We decided we'd ask if we could get in somehow.  I honestly didn't think we would.  Someone told us to ask for a specific person, so we kept looking around and asking for him.  While were standing around the entrance I saw some posters of the show and yep my fears were right, there was half naked ladies in this show.  I told my momma I didn't really want to see it because of that.  She said when she saw it that it was a really nice show and not like that at all.  I believed her since I saw some kids go in.  Soon after that we found the person to ask about getting in, and when all the people with tickets were inside, he let us go in.  I had to check my camera with them and we had to buy the tickets that came with champagne, so it was quite expensive.  We had to sit toward the back and everyone was at tables, so I was stuck close to weird people.
Then the show started and oh lord I've never seen so many half naked ladies.  I was totally embarassed and couldn't leave or anything, so I had to just sit through it.  It was totally weird and maybe traumatizing to see such a show with people calmly watching.  In between numbers though, they had a comedy act, which was actually really funny and in english, that was the best part for me.  Some of the weirdest parts were, one lady, half naked of course, was swimming in a pool on stage with a snake.  Another was the ladies were dressed up, half of course, in neon colors and traveled over the audience.  Then the worst was when they brought out miniture horses to trot around, it just seemed so dang europiean, humans over animals, plus the half naked ness.  This is why I'm so messed up.  I enjoyed the parts where people had clothes on though, which were a couple, one included the Can Can and that was pretty cool to see.
When we got out it was pretty late, but luckily the subway was still running so we made it back just fine.  I asked my momma if she liked the show and she said it was really pretty.  She's weird.  After that traumatizing experience we went to sleep.  Boy this was a lot longer then I thought.  I'll continue tomorrow on my last couple days in Europe.

Brit:  It wasn't the bottom part thank goodness!  Yep there's more hehe, got a whole 2 days left!  I know I said I'd continue the next day, but school is here ahhh!

Silver:  I can't believe I took so long!  Glad you're still reading :)  Oh that's a good question!  I don't think I'd like those shops, they were a bit tooo much if you know what I mean.  However, the Moulin Rouge was much more classy, so I think I'd have liked it more, definetly intrigueing though hehe.
