When i get up, i often drink milk for breakfast. Mostly though, i dont drink anything for breakfast as i usually eat oatmeal with milk on. Most of the other time, i drink chocolate milk, strawberry flavoured milk, protein shakes, water and.. well. Orange juice and other juices of the sort. I could mention beer, because i drink alot of that, but thats mostly weekends. I hardly ever drink sodas, like coke and stuff. I don't know why. I guess it's sugar content has sunken to deep into my fragile mind. ;) I think the reason for all the milk is purely for its nutricional contents. Alot of protein and some nice carbs. Low fat and vitamin d + kalcium. (i drink low fat-milk with added vitamin d).

So what do you drink? And maybe why?

i tend to drink diet sodas, mainly b/c a few years back there was a concern i was diabetic so i switched to sugar-free everything where possible and never bothered to switch back b/c i find i'm happier this way. but i only drink it for the caffeine during the workday. otherwise, it's freshly-brewed iced tea, sweetened w/ blue packet stuff. :> or sometimes water. i make no pretenses whatsoever about being a health or fitness nut. :> ed

I'm a coffee drinker in the mornings. I switch to water around 11 am (bottled) and then have a last cup of coffee around 3pm. I usually drink hot tea in the evenings while I'm sitting at the computer or reading.

Interesting difference i must say. Also i rarely drink bottled water. Some recent tests has shown that we have better tap water than bottled water. I am from Norway, might i add;)

I'm from NJ USA. Believe me, we don't drink the water from the tap if we can help it.

diabetes runs in my family; my mother and all of her sisters, save one, have diabetes, so there has always been some strong concern that i will develop diabetes, especially given that i had gestational diabetes when i was pregnant. so,a few years ago, i swore of regular soft drinks and switched to diet. but, i have even cut back on the amount of diet sodas i drink as they have a tendency to actually promote cravings for sugar, according to many nutritionists. so, i limit myself to no more than 2 diet sodas per day; otherwise, i stick to water or unsweetened iced tea (no sugar substiture added). when it turns colder, i switch to coffee, black, or hot green tea.

    I'm Xerendipity!

During the day when I wake up, I used to drink a glass of water.(cheers!)

But for breakfast, Tea is in my MUG!

I've been drinking it for years and I remained healthy (i.e., no hospital consultations)!

Drinking tea is soothing and makes me relax. I've got a good concentration in every endeavor I do.

Water still rules every drink. We cannot drink tea if not mix in water (smiles).

Many people will make their iced tea in a large pitcher after boiling the water to make the tea. Then they add their ingredients, ice, sugar, lemon and whatever else they like and then stir....
