I was a bit weary of what was going to happen today.Ingrid - thats my chiropractor - had done the procedure to me once before a couple of months ago.
The vertebrae in our spine is covered in what they call a very tissue like material. When I damaged my L4 last year.I was told that i had damaged the muscle, tissue and had bruised the bone.I was told by the medical doctors at that time it was going to take about 8 to 10 months to heal. Here I am nearly 15 months later, and it is still not healed properly.
Now what has been happening is that the bone that i bruised is slowly wearing away - and now when I walk, the one above and below are putting pressure on it,and it wants to move out of place. So the muscles that are on either side of the spine have decided to go into spasm against it,to keep the bone in place.
So the procedure involved needles up both sides of my spine to get the pressure out of them and get them to relax, and then spinal adjustment to try and free the one that was stuck like a sandwich.
Trouble is - the needles did what they were supposed to do,but the spine alignment didnt want to work - so they are still stuck.
So,I am in a little bit more pain now, after the needles, and the problem is still there.
Ingrid has suggested that i do close to nothing at all for the next couple of days to see what happens - and then come back on Wednesday to do it all again.
So,I suppose i dont really have a choice in the matter.
January, and this God forsaken operation cannot come to quickly.I dont know how much more of this I can take
