The first thing id like to post up here is a general coverage of the seo process, throughout all its stages; keywords, links, content and much more.
it is probably not necessary to write that SEO stands for search engine optimization .
seo must be one of the most dynamic practices online. simply because there so many diffrent opinions as to which seo methods work and which dont.
there are plenty of cold facts in seo. but when it comes down to business no one (except maybe an extremley select few), truly understands the nature of the search engine ranking algorythms. so it may be best to say that seo is allot of trial and error, tracking and so on.
thus I recommend to use the following SEO tool to track your keyword position.

so lets start. as stated earlier : our first subject will be keywords
Keyword Science
How to decide which keywords you want to promote.
the first stage in any seo process is selecting the keywords, this is especially important because your whole optimization process will revolve around the keywords you select.
you can pick keywords after or before you build your site. but its best to do so before.
so you wont have to administer agreat deal of changes, afterwards.
keywords are referred to by three diffrent categories which are:
1.Primary Keywords
2.Secondary Keywords
3.Tertiary Keywords
Primary Keywords :
The Primary keywords is the most general descriptive term for your website's category.
for example. if your web site is dealing with "c4 detonator bombs" than your primary keyword would be: "bombs" because this is the most general keyword for this theme and also controls the most search volume. a useful tool for telling which term has more search volume is the google Keyword Tool.
Secondary Keywords :
your Secondary keywords target the terms for you diffrent divisions ( or pages ) inside the website. so if we use the example with "fruit" as the primary keyword, secondary keywords would probably be. "apple","banana","mango" and so on.

you should put emphasis on researching secondary keywords that have good search volume.
Tertiary Keywords (Also Known as Long-Tails) :
tertiary or longtail keywords are actually long case specific keywords such as "mango flavoured popsicles" these keywords have higher chances of bringing focused traffic (people who are actually intrested in your products/content) than the more general keywords but long-tails have small scale search volumes in comparision with other general keywords.long tails shouldnt worry you as much as the two other types of keywords. if your optimization is set right for the primary and secondary keywords; your long tails will often be promoted automatically. However you can check the search volume of keywords with Google keywords tool and track the changing of the keywords position with this ranking tool.
